This week's prompt will be based on actual events! And a story I probably shouldn't share because of the sheer absurdity of a certain portion of it but, hey....

So after a trying month already, my apartment sprung a leak six days ago. In the bathroom. Turns out- wasn't just my bathroom, this was happening for at least five or six floors above me. First it was peeling paint overhead then a drip, drip, drip and then.... well, more about that right after the prompt.

The Prompt: This week, the challenge is to have two or more of your darlings dealing with a household disaster. Burst pipe or tsunami, car with a dead battery or car totaled by a now-very-contrite teen. Burglar in the dark or the house burning down at 2am: What happens, and how do they handle it?

As for my absurd story.... well, the maintenance guys in my building could not find the leak and could not find it. And so this morning I woke up at 5:45 am to it literally raining in my bathroom - so hard that, well...i've never had to pee while holding an umbrella over my head before. :).

Now that I've way overshared, I hope maybe you find fic in the prompt. And that the week is treating you better.

PS- they found the leak (from a shower pipe) and scoured my bathroom with Clorox so I'm a happ(ier) camper.

Holy crap! I'd be triple scrubbing everything. LOL

Hope they cleaned up the other apartments, too! :D

Lol... I'm sure they did - I know I insisted. Bathrooms here are the size of large gift boxes, though, so about fifteen good spritzes and a rinse and I was set.
