Here's to the new week (relatively) and a new prompt! Your Rainy Days and Mondays mission, should you choose to accept it, is...

Leaving You to Save You

Maybe one of your characters is targeted, being chased. The last person he/she wants around is exactly the one who most wants to be there. Write a fic about A leaving B - do they tell them why? Or not? Do they sneak in one more time together, and then slip away? Does B chase A down with a 'not so fast, buddy' or does B only figure it out much later?

Hope the week treats you well.

Y'know... bizarra and I used to accuse the mods at charloft for stalking our RP LJs.. but, now.. I'm starting to think you guys are. ♥

This quote is practically tattooed on my main RP-girl's head.

Hee. It's all about the angst, and good old-fashioned lack of communication. Right? Without them, where would fic go? ;).

Sadly... there is rarely fic.. just long conversations in their LJs and a lot of back-plotting in the car. We need to write this crap down :D

EDIT: so I had a horribly depressing thought in the car, this morning... but I have to figure out how to make it useful to the plot, and not cheesy...

I would love to hear if it led to fic, let me know. :)

Oooh, another classic! I haven't time to take on a new one, but one of my past fics, Never Was (Lost), fits this to a T. It's Sawyer/Sayid, and to this day, I'm very proud of how well it turned out! ;-)

Oh, I certainly do remember that fic. :). That fic, actually, I liked it so much that it inspired me to write one -- in which first Sawyer, and then all the survivors end up being chased down by the DI all over again after they escape. I think you saw it, this one: Slave to Love. It took a very different direction, but was definitely inspired by that particular Sayid/Sawyer of yours. :). And I know I've told you this, but your Lost fics are what made me go from reading slash to saying 'I have to try this' so.... thank you again. :).

By the way, that reminds me, I've been meaning to ask you: The other writer whose stories I ADORED, is someone I don't know enough to write hi to, but she's in your circle - zelda_zee? She gave a kudos to my recent Lost fic, and I swear I gasped out loud I was so happy. Silly, I know- fangirling, but.... ;). If you're in touch with her, could you tell her I am nuts about her Jawyer stories and have downloaded them all so I'll have them? Especially them traveling around the world - oh, god, that was so good. All of her Jawyer - just....wow.

Thank you so much! I'm flattered and thrilled that Never Was inspired you to start writing! I've enjoyed so many of your fics since then (I know I am behind too, and I will get to read them all eventually!) I must go back to Slave to Love again - I've completely lost sight of it at the moment, but I remember enjoying it! ;-) And you are so very welcome; I've come to think of you as a friend so I'm so glad you took that step forward!

I know exactly what you mean of the fangirling of ZZ! She is an amazing writer and I adore every single Lost fic she's written. Thankfully, she's remained in touch and I know she'd be thrilled to know you enjoy her stories so much, so I will definitely pass on your wishes to her! I've always been in awe of her writing too, and have trouble believing mine are anywhere near as good! She's definitely inspired me though (Never Was, of course, was written for her too and that she loved it is one of my most cherished memories!)

Another in her league is elise_509, if you have ever read her fics (A Pain That I'm Used To is hers I think and another one was about Sawyer as an artist, or was that the one? There's one where he's a builder or construction worker too, anyway).

Oh, God- "A Pain that I'm Used To" - I think I read that about eight times through, maybe twelve, lol. Yeah. There were some really, really awesome Jawyer writers who showed how to keep a character in character...but still take them somewhere the show never went.

Have a great weekend! So looking forward to mine...
