Here in NZ it is distinctly winter (and there will be no long weekends now till the end of October, dammit!) No snow here in Auckland because it doesn't get cold enough (in 70 years it's fallen twice - once in my lifetime - but did not stick), but overnight temps of 2 or 3 degrees C (in the 35 to 38 F range) is quite cold enough, thank you, especially when I wake up to 12 C (53 F) INSIDE my house. No central heating in many homes here, folks! I am working from home today and I have a heater on, but I'm also rugged up warmly! ;-)
Anyhoo, what it does make for is great weather to be knitting and crocheting, so I really should be farther ahead with my temperature blanket, but I'm not! I'm still about halfway through March's rows, but I will get there! No words either, but that's not new! Hopefully I'll get some icons in before the end of the current Icon/Drabble Challenge! It finishes on 15 July, so you've still got time too!
Big Buddy should be around 16%, so hopefully you're all tracking as you should be; there's plenty of time to catch up if not!
For this week's Flash challenge, I give you: Seventies' fashion - Use it how you will; create whatever you like and pat yourself on the back for doing so! Link it here if you wish.
Here are all the prompt posts from the last week, should you need to catch up on anything:
Z - Badinage - Thursday Tropes - Polyglot
Concatenation - Weekend Challenge: Holiday Movies
Fustigate - Lickity-Split
Also, don't forget to sign up for the Daily Count and Big Buddy challenges for July!
I do intend to get to the count for June too, so update your numbers now, if you haven't already - I will try to get onto this later today if I can! I also need to sort out the weekend challenge volunteers, so if you haven't got to putting your name down yet and you'd like to run one or more weekends, go here to let me know! I aim to have this done next weekend, so there's still time to get in on it!
Now, what have you been up to, and what do you have planned for the week?
Whatever you do, let's be creative out there!
