This time around...A. FULL. YEAR. OF. TROPES!
Some Thursdays will have 2 tropes, some will have 3, but I think the majority will have 1 that's really popular.
Descriptions will be pulled from TV Tropes and a link provided if you want more information.
The rules? They're simple. Write at least 250 words or create 2 icons/1 banner. Anything from suggestive to outright porn is allowed.
This week, there are 2 tropes!
Anticipatory Breath Spray: A character believes the time has come for The Big Damn Kiss with their Love Interest.
To make the moment as perfect as possible, the character will spray breath freshener into their mouth to chase off any potential halitosis issues before leaning in to kiss their intended.
This trope is often used comedically, and the character spritzing breath spray is usually rebuffed. Bonus points if they accidentally use perfume or cologne instead of breath spray.
Make-Out Point is a co-trope. A Sister Trope to Anticipatory Lipstick. See also You Need a Breath Mint.
Stopped Clock: A useful method of telling when a certain disaster/event happened is that all of the clocks have stopped at the same time. This can also happen to individual time pieces that have been damaged. May be a cause of Clock Discrepancy.
Power cuts can be neatly illustrated with a digital clock flashing '12:00' or '00:00'.
Stopped clocks are, surprisingly, often correct. Twice a day, in fact. For a related trope, see Dumbass Has a Point.
