I'll update the count tomorrow...a day off means lots more hours of rewriting work, so I must add that in.
Well above the count, thankfully...and glad these 3 days have been productive enough to clear my head of all those training modules from last week lol.

I'd prefer to stay home and finish the last bit of rewrite on this draft...but alas...

I go back to work this week (had a whole 5 days off) but for shorter hours and days (5 hours instead of 8, 4 days instead of 5). And then back to school next week. So no real break/vacation for me.

I am planning to set up a schedule though so I don't spend all my "free" time sitting and playing on the computer.

I fail so far at keeping to the schedule...

And it's another cool and quiet Wednesday here in NZ! I have managed to re-do 28 rows of my temp. blanket in the new 5 degree C zones and it's looking great, even though I've only used two colours to there! I am so pleased I unravelled as it looks so much better now I'm not increasing idiotically and there is a better show of colours! I'll photograph it again when I get more up to date! Lots more variety to come eventually! ;-)

As for anything else, writing and such, no luck there! But this builder is supposed to come over tonight to talk about bathroom renovations — this is the second lot of contractors we're looking at — not sure what to make of it yet because the first lot have not been forthcoming on ANY kind of ballpark figure for the work (and I said it's OK if it's a wide range; just to get some kind of idea on $$$ would be great before we commit to another few $K as per her schedule!), and this guy said he'd send an invitation for the appointment to my email and so far hasn't — I was kind of waiting for that as I didn't have a number or email to contact him on (lost the card I had *rolls eyes*), and I wanted to switch it to next week because Hubby's gone away today (for work) and won't be back till tomorrow night, but eh... so I'll see him alone if he turns up — not a biggie at this point — and we'll go from there, depending on who comes up on some $ figures first, because this is painful! ;-)

And yes, with Hubby away overnight and just me and LF at home tonight, it's an easy dinner although my darling hubby then said we'd have to cook something Friday if we were getting takeaways tonight (he'll be staying somewhere with it's own restaurant)! *sigh* There was me thinking I could escape a scheduled night of cooking. LOL! Meh, I have lamb chops for Friday and they're not so hard, I guess — I am just lazy.

LOL! It's Tues here already and yes, I haven't done the Monday post, but that's next.

Yes, the building guy showed up - he's going to put some stuff together for us so hopefully we'll have something in a few days. I didn't know that about wood, though someone at work mentioned it was hard to get decking wood, and she was having to wait. I will ask the builders about that (we do produce building timber in NZ, so here's hoping it's not such a big deal), as loan interest rates are good right now, so that was part of our thinking - if the wood prices are up... well. Anyway, it may take us a good 6 months or more to get all the plans and consents done, and we're not in a hurry, so we'll see how things go.

What takeout did you end up with? We had our lamb chops after we went to a filming of a local TV comedian/quiz type show, which was fun! We'll be looking out for that on TV this winter, though we won't see ourselves (they didn't film the audience).

Big Buddy last month was a flop for me, so let's not talk about that. LOL

Despite this week being half over already, I'm hoping to get some words in so that I have SOMETHING for this week.

It's full on summer here in the desert so that's always fun. Here's to a great rest of the week. Although, if the phone doesn't stop ringing, I might have to toss it out the window.
