If it was anyone else, two grown men giving each other presents like this would have seemed like a joke.
Chapstick. Dental floss. Moisturiser. Boxes of matches.
But for the Winchester brothers, each of these had meaning.
Chapstick came in so very handy after a salt and burn, especially on cold and windy nights.
Dental floss worked better than string at keeping buttons on shirts, especially in their hard-scrabble life.
As often as they were hurt, moisturiser was necessary to keep the skin supple and cut down on scars.
Matches were often needed for ritual fires, lighting the Bunker's arcane pilot lights, or any other matter of small things.
There were other gifts as well, that seemed like jokes to the outside world.
But for the Winchester brothers, they said "I love you".
