NaNo this year...

Question to everyone who has participated, might participate, or will participate in NaNoWriMo in November (which is not really so far away anymore)...

What sort of things could I post/include that you would all find helpful?
Resources?
Prompts?
Inspiration?
Taking a break head-clearing bits?
other?

I'm in the process of beginning to organize for that, so want to see what others think and what would be useful to you lovely folks :D

I went a little long with this, hope you don't mind.

I did something for my own editing recently where I looked through the opening chapters of different genres of books (that in my opinion were well-written) and pulled out different verbs just to see a bit what other writers did and how I could improve from phrases like "there was" all the time. I may go through and do the same with descriptive phrases.

So one of the prompts could be to "steal something" from another author- take a short description from a novel you've read and attach it to a character or situation.

I really like what you did last year. It was helpful and I found myself going back earlier this year through the different tips.

For myself, I'm great on dialogue but weak on things like sustained action sequences and love scenes, so more help with that would be appreciated.

You could possibly set things up by the days of the week- Motivation Monday, Character Building Tuesday, World Building Wednesday, Time Out Thursday (filled with time-wasting ideas), Fantastic Friday (for sci-fi/fantasy writers), Saturday Serious Writing (a word count check in at the beginning and end of the day for people who want to participate), and Sunday Silliness (random facts, off the wall overheard comments, unusual name ideas, etc that can be used as prompts or just something to read while winding down from the weekend).

That's all I can think of for now.
