NaNoWriMo 2019: Day 2--Conflict

Day 2 Word Count Target: 3334

The meat of any story is conflict, between your characters and someone else...or something else...or maybe even with themselves. As much as we try to avoid conflict in our daily lives, stories without some manner of conflict are less gripping for the reader. How to create gripping conflict, and when to know if there's enough, can be a tricky question for many writers.

Are you one of those writers who thrive on tormenting your darlings? How do you generate conflict for your characters? What tips do you have for others who want to spice up their stories?
