Monday Again Already?

Holy moly how is it nearly October?   I will never understand how things move so fast while often seeming so slow.
September had its moments, but for the most part, it was a good month for me.  Hopefully it was a good one for you, too.  If not, here comes October.  My second favorite month of the year, containing my absolute favorite holiday – Halloween.  So, there are good things on the horizon.

1. Flash Challenge!  Your flash challenge prompt is: flashback.  Give me 100 words or a graphic and I’ll reward you with my undying love and admiration.

2. Last week’s challenges:

October’s post is here, there’s always time to join in!

4. The Daily Count challenge reminder is here.  Might be some time to sign up still, but don’t quote me on that.

5. October’s challenge is BINGO!  I’m sure the posts will be going up soon, but for now, keep your eyes peeled, the should be popping up soon.  Halloween and bingo in one month, how did I get so lucky?

Let’s hear it for another awesome week to come!  We’ve got this and, if we don’t, know that there is always someone around to act as cheerleader!

October is just another month closer to the dreaded Christmas season. Le sigh.

I use to enjoy Halloween as a kid, but not so much now.

I hit my word goal, so anything over is gravy.

I do have a ball of kittens on my porch. The momma apparently trusts me, Daisy and Emma (my porch kitty) with them, so the past two weeks have been interesting.

Daisy has decided she needs to mother them and licks them every chance she gets. The poor things don't have a clue as to what's going on and the momma just lets her, so it's up to me to keep the licking to a mininium.

I need a raise...lol

Yeah, I'm sure that has to be a huge downside for you. :/

I still love Halloween mainly because my house is decorated in the things I love and it doesn't look odd like it does the rest of the year. Hahaha.

Aw, that's so sweet of Daisy. The poor kittens though. Hopefully mom finds a better place to keep them than on your porch soon.

It's what grandmas do, so no raise, sorry. LOL

I'll have to get a pic of them and post it, so everyone can enjoy their cuteness.

They have blue eyes like their mom, but that can change as they get older.

They are probably about two and a half weeks old.

The next month or so is going to be interesting.

Aw, they sound adorable! I'd love to see a pic if you get a chance.

Yeah, once they're fully mobile, your life's going to suck. LOL But, they're also a ton of fun when they're so little.

Have an update. The momma moved them to a spot close to the apt building behind some shrubs. Daisy found them, but I kept her from licking them to death.

Leave it to Daisy to sniff them out. :) Glad she moved them, hopefully they'll be safe there.

Had a very productive weekend, plotting-wise...and the boss is away this week so the office should be quieter *fingers crossed*
Right now I'm suffering a caffeine deprivation headache, but its not even light outside yet so hopefully it passes soon.

Awesome! Happy for your productive weekend and here's to a quiet office! I work in construction so, even when the boss(es) is away, it's never quiet.

Ugh, that sucks. Hoping that it goes away soon. It's not light yet here either, but I still need to leave here soon. *sigh*

We do construction/repair...but typically the repair crew is out most of the day and now that I've moved away from the front desk (to focus more on the grants and compliance etc) I don't have to deal with the influx of people and constantly ringing phone. It'll get 'busy' around 8 when the guys check in, then be quiet again most of the day after that...thankfully.
I've got NaNo posts to work on after my Monday morning horde of phonecalls lol

I work for a commercial construction plumber and while we don't have a lot of visitors to the office, the guys I work with do not have indoor voices. They're either not speaking or yelling at one another. LOL

SOOOO Apparently, I didn't post any Letter or number challenges this month.

HI! Happy Monday!
Sep. 30th, 2019 04:47 pm (UTC)
Wait, you didn't post any last week? I thought maybe I'd missed them this week as I was distracted when I was writing this up yesterday.

Sep. 30th, 2019 04:52 pm (UTC)
I'll get them going today!

September's been all about making Christmas cards and knitting for me, so productive, if not actually countable words... although I did make 10 cards for BINGO!!! so there's that ;-)

October will be about finishing the Christmas cards and more knitting! I do still have August Rush banners to make and yes, there will be Comment Fic banners to do too! I'll make some attempt to get to them, but right now my mind is on actually making a Christmas card list (technically this should have come BEFORE making the cards so I knew how many I needed, but meh, it'll work out, even if I have to make a few more) and more knitting as I have a 2020 deadline for quite a large number of snoods, plus now a beanie for my cousin's wife, which she needs for travels to Canada on the 18th! Ulp! Why yes, I am a glutton for punishment; thanks for asking!
Sep. 30th, 2019 08:01 pm (UTC)
Hey, that works for me!

Hahaha - if the inspiration to actually make the cards came, run with it. It might flee once you have the actual list! Good luck getting it all done, I have faith!
Sep. 30th, 2019 08:32 pm (UTC)
Oh God, yeah! I was actually eager to get them started this year - usually I design in Sept, but don't start making properly until October, so they're ready by early Nov! I'm pretty sure the number's about right going by last year's count.

The rest will happen, and thank you for the faith; it does help to know others are cheering me on!

That's awesome, have fun with them!

Hey, it's why we're here!
Oct. 1st, 2019 12:38 pm (UTC)
I made nearly 7K words this month!!! Am proud of myself!!!

Because I finished an original fic HOURS before it was due!!!
Oct. 1st, 2019 03:55 pm (UTC)
That is amazing, you have every right to be proud!

Wonderful, congrats!
Oct. 2nd, 2019 05:12 pm (UTC)
I did over 12K words this month and with that, it's put me OVER my year goal of 100K words!!!
Oct. 2nd, 2019 05:15 pm (UTC)
That's awesome, congrats!!
