The thing is, Michelle knew about Cho’s reputation long before they started dating.

Straight shooter, straight arrow, gets the job done. Dependable, trustworthy, fiercely loyal to his friends. Cold, unemotional, a man of few words. Stoic if the other person was friendly, robotic if they weren’t. Iceman, he’d told her once, had been an old nickname of his, before swearing her to secrecy about it.

Michelle knew all these things - hell, some of them were the things that first attracted her to him. Back when she first started with the FBI, when she’d been so green and everyone else so competent, so assured... so completely crazy, Cho had been the one who had made sense to her, the one who made the rest of the world slow down just a little.

And that was even before she noticed how well he filled out his well cut FBI suits.

Michelle knew all these things before she and Cho started dating so it wasn’t a surprise to learn that the man he was in a relationship was the same as the man he was out of it.

But what really surprised her were the text messages.

Because for a man of few spoken words, Cho had absolutely no issues when it came to typing.

And just as he was a straight shooter in an interrogation room, his texts were equally to the point.

And filthy.

The first time she’d read one of his missives, she’d been sitting at her desk, reading one of the most boring case reports she’d ever opened. Seeing his name pop up on the screen had been a welcome distraction and she’d reached for the phone without thinking twice. She’d read the message, once in shock, once to confirm her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her, then she’d lifted her head, seen him watching her from across the bullpen, his face completely impassive, like he hadn't just described exactly what he was going to do to her when he got her home.

The fact that he had more than made good on every little detail meant that the next time she got a message like that, the effect on her was heightened. Nor was it something that had dissipated with time, the thrill as strong as ever, no matter how long they’d been dating.

Today, like the first day, she was sitting at her desk when her cell phone buzzed and this time, she knew what to expect. She felt her cheeks darken as she read, bit her lip to keep back a smile and jumped when she heard Wiley’s curious voice coming from his desk. “Something funny?”

“No,” she said simply. “Just a message from a friend.”

Wiley shrugged and went back to his work, while Michelle looked past him, knowing Cho was around somewhere. Sure enough, at that moment he walked past her desk, nodded over at her. “Vega.”

“Cho,” she said, watching him as he kept right on walking, admiring not for the first time the way that he filled out his well cut FBI suit.

Only when he was out of sight did she reach for her phone and start composing a text of her own.

After all, she’d realised pretty quickly that turnabout was fair play, and neither of them were ever disappointed by the results.

Preparation - Original fic
“What’s up?” Riley asked as he sat down beside Chase.

“April wants me to sext her tonight, so I’m practicing.”

“Awesome! It’s about time you two got to this stage in your relationship.”

“You are way too invested in this.”

“Which is why you called me instead of Dylan. And also, I have the experience and, dare I say, expertise.”

“Just because you send a dick pic to every girl that nods at you does not make you an expert.”

“Do you want my help or not?”

Chase shrugged. “Just let me fire a few things past you. And just remember these are in no way indicative of my feelings toward you, but rather represent my feelings toward April.”

“Noted. And the word ‘indicative’ is a real mood killer, by the way.”

“I thought I’d lead with this,” Chase said, punching a few lines of text into his phone.

Riley stared at his phone for a few seconds. “You have to actually send the text.”

“Oh, right.”

A beep of Riley’s phone signified the incoming text. “Well, you get high marks for grammar and spelling, so if April’s your English teacher, you’ll be doing fine. You gotta be so into her that you can’t type straight, man. Incomplete sentences, misspelled words, the text shorthand that you never freakin’ do no matter how many times I try to correct you, that’s the way to go with this. Go with your gut. Tell her what turns you on.”

“Okay, okay. I got this.”

Beep. “Ugh. You are one sick asshole.”

“I’m going to fail.”

“Nonsense. Let me be the guy with the long nose to your regular guy.”

“Like you could be Cyrano,” Chase muttered.

“I could, but I like my nose and I’m not that into April.” Riley snapped his fingers, “Emojis.”

“You can sext with emojis?”

“You can do anything with emojis. She’s just got to be able to read them.”

“Dude, I’m not sure I’m going to be making any sense with this, but here goes nothing.”

“Alright, alright, very good. What’s this?”

“A dick.”

“Too much?”

“What is that? A pickle?”

“A zucchini, I think.”

“Eggplant is usually the standard.”

“That’s not really an accurate representation.”

“Are you kidding me right now?”

“No good?”

“No. Skip the emojis. Just be you. If all else fails, just stop the texting and call her. You’ll be okay.”

“Thanks, Riley.”

“Good luck.”

Fill: Original fic Jimmy Bogart/Desmond Richard
Jimmy had been stuck in this meeting with the label concerning the release of Jimmy's new album and the tour to promote it for the past half an hour.

Jimmy was going stir crazy. Meetings like this were why he had a freaking manager/agent in the first damn place.

He felt his phone vibrate in his hand since he was playing solitare instead of listening to the execs talk about venues and ticket prices.

He pulled up his texting program and opened the text he just received from his lover. Desmond had been the lucky one getting to skip this meeting in order to prep for another recording session.

He read the text and damn near swallowed his tongue. He never knew Desmond to be vulgar outside of the bedroom, but damn they definitely were going to do everything his lover suggested. Multiple times, if he had any say about it.

Chet, his manager, tapped him on the arm and he immediately put up his phone. "Ten more minutes and you can escape to wherever Desmond happens to be," the older man whispered.

"Right," Jimmy whispered back and became the epitome of a well-behaved adult.

Thanks! :D Today's effort was more to the point. And thank you! I've already hit my yearly goal, so I'm kinda excited.
