ACK - Monday

Hey there - SO sorry I'm late.

Sadly I'm still playing catch up (more with my mind than with actual work) after a wonderful vacation. This week I am desperately trying to clean up the house. I've cleaned up most of the debris from the trip, but I can't seem to care about housekeeping since I got back, not that this is a shock.

So what are you all up to this week? Big plans?? Big plans for words?? ALL THE WORDS??? Next Monday is a brand new month! Let's spend the next few days kicking June's butt!!!

Your flash challenge for this week is "Enjoy the rest of the afternoon with the sunny and pleasant weather, because tomorrow morning..."

And I don't have all the links for you but... Tab back through some of last week's entries and see if you can some up with some more words! Check out the Monthly challenge that our fabulous H is posting prompts for daily!

I was just getting ready to make a post because I hadn't seen one yet. *hugs*

Ugh, that post-vacation mess is always tough to deal with. You can get through it though. :)

Nothing exciting happening this week. Continuing to ride that bike I bought and trying to remember that swearing at an instructor that can't hear me won't do me any good (even if it does entertain my children). Less than 2k from my monthly goal, so I've got that in the bag (barring I fall of my stationary bike... I did that once... in a spin class). WE'VE GOT THIS, JUNE!

"...will be just as hot, bright and sunny as it was yesterday. You live in the desert, you dork." (Sorry - it's always bright and sunny here, even when it rains sometimes.) Although I do like this prompt. :D

I've got a comment fic I'm working on this morning and then I'm going to dive back into the monthly prompts. Lots of great stuff H has been posting.

My suitcase never got put away between the two trips, and right now that 's the only thing from the trip that's outstanding. But vacuuming after the cat apparently had a major shedding event while I was gone just seems to be beyond me.

I can relate to the cat hair issue. I got to Starbucks this morning, looked down and there was a HUGE tuft of white fur on my navy shirt. Yeah.

WE CAN! Aw, right back atcha!

Still wrestling with all the repair work, but we're approaching the home stretch I think.
I've been storing all these random prompts because I do have somthing in mind for them, but I've been pushing so much to finish this rewrite that I've not gotten to them. I don't know that I'll get the rewrite completed before the end of June, but I intend to *fingers crossed*
So whatever I do with the rest of the random prompts will probably be late, but I will get to them.
New gal starting at work tomorrow, so I'm gonna be relocating my computer, my stuff from the desk, my phone etc...and training her...on top of all the other chaos, so I have no idea what will happen with the actual words. thank goodness I'm very far ahead of myself now.

My fingers are crossed for you all around!!!

Going to work on getting all the words in this week. Have the State coming in for a visit at the office which is always fun (not). Family is coming for dinner tonight which is not a time when they usually come, but I'll deal.

It's hard to get back into the swing of things after a vacation, so good luck weeding through the emails and everything else this week.

I so look forward to those visits. *eye roll*

You got this! I know it!

It's been an amazing start to summer, here, and I was happy to spend more time outdoors than in this weekend. Today...well, work is running me over like a truck, *but* I just found a little peanut butter cup that I forgot I had bought with my lunch. Score!

This week's goals for creativity are to finish up some sewing details on a tie that I knit for my brother, and then to make more graphics (and post) for the June challenge. Then, on to some July NaNo planning, and hopefully some drabbles.

Forgotten chocolate is always such a win!!!

You got this!!! YOU GOT THIS!

I do not envy you the clean-up. I've gotten lazier on cleaning lately; I swear menopause causes you to care less.

I have actually done some mending this week, so that feels like a win, but I have to make N1D a birthday card (she'll be 23 on Thurs - OMG, how did that happen?) and then there's the total lack of anything else productive lately that needs rectifying. Went to pick up the knitting last night (it's at that tricky 'add stitches into the neckline to make the hood' stage so have been putting it off for some time) but the hubby decided to turn down the lights and watch TV (he was supposed to be going out and didn't, humph!) so I decided not to argue and left the knitting alone. It probably won't happen tonight either because I'm cooking dinner, but eh, tomorrow's another day).

Spending a LOT of time thinking about next year's big trip, so hopefully will start the ball rolling on booking things SOON!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Can I tell you how relaxingly exciting it was to come home and pick up a knitting project with no deadline? Especially a flat piece (not that anything I do isn't really flat) and that is for myself so if there's booboos it's all good?

I'm so excited! I'm looking at what to do for our other week. There's a few England coach tours and some Ireland... I'mma have to chat w/ my peeps.

Oh, I bet! I must pick mine up and get that hood done soon!

YES! Me too! So much to think about! I want to go to Ireland, but don't think we can manage a lot of days, though I did work out a day trip to Dublin is possible from Wales, up at the top end (forget the name of the town/city in Wales), which hopefully is within reasonable driving distance of L&P's, so we might try and do that; if not when we're all together, then maybe afterward.

Oh man!!! I know how much you want to cram it all in, I know what I said about Spain. But do take care not to burn out. Spain and Germany, Ireland and Belgium. Did I tell you my dream vacation is a month long cruise that goes from Amsterdam to Bucharest. I'll never afford it but... It would be wonderful to cram it all in. Again, traveling to the other side of the planet isn't an annual thing so CRAM.

Now go knit!

Oh wow, that sounds like a wonderful cruise! I've seen a few Europe river cruises that look fantastic, but I don't think we can manage them - but the tour we want does include a day cruise so that's something. Hope you get to do yours one day!!!

Yeah, burn out would not be good! I think because the tours are organised and you do get 2 days in a couple of places there will be time to rest, so here's hoping that helps! Plus stopping for a few days to chat with friends in Shropshire (as well as doing a few things, obviously) will also be a great help!

I need to go knit, don't I? Hopefully this weekend will be a bit quieter than the last couple have been and I'll get that hood underway!
