June Challenge: Drabbles & Icons!

We're a bit late to get started this month, as unfortunately, katyastarling has had another setback and can't run the challenge she had hoped to do this month, so I've had to work on the fly to get something up as soon as possible. Hopefully, Katya will come back later in the year, (or early next year at the latest) with her awesome idea instead. So for now, you get me and my BIG IDEAS in her place! ;-)

And here is what I've come up with:

Every day you will see a post with 4 prompts like so: 1. a place, 2. a colour, 3. an action and 4. a random word.

All you have to do is create an icon or a drabble (or more) for that day using at least one (or more) of the prompts.

There are no other rules! Any fandom/s (or none); any character/s; a one-off each day or a continuous story for several days (or all 28!); post it one day at a time, post 7 creations altogether once a week, or just post 2800 words/28 icons in one lump at the end! It's all up to you. Take the prompts and run with them; no interpretation is wrong!

And because I should have had this up at the beginning of Monday, I am giving you two days worth of prompts now.

Yesterday's prompts are:
1. a place: at the beach
2. a colour: cerise
3. an action: running
4. a random word: thick

Today's prompts are:
1. a place: under a tree
2. a colour: forest green *wink*
3. an action: swallowing
4. a random word: doubtful

Now, get creating, everyone! I know you'll have fun! And hopefully, at the end, I will give out some pretty participation banners! ;-)

Fill: Original fic James "Jimmy" Bogart/Desmond Richard
Jimmy stretched out on his towel with a sigh. He had been running along the surf trying to intice Desmond into joining him for a mid-morning swim, but Desmond refused to budge from his towel let alone look up from the book he was reading.

"Are you done flaunting yourself?" Desmond inquired nose still buried in his book.

"If I were flaunting myself as you put it, I'd have been running around buck naked," Jimmy grouchily retorted.

"Might as well be with that barely there banana hammock you're wearing," Desmond pointed out.

"Jealous that I can pull off this look and you can't," Jimmy retorted before giving his body a nice long stretch and settling in for a nap.

"You look like an old fool," Desmond said finally looking up from his book. A book he really hadn't been reading, but he wasn't going to let Jimmy know that.

"Keep it up, asshole," Jimmy muttered not bothering to look at his lover. "No after dinner nookie for you."

"Oh that's rich," Desmond snarked. "You refusing to initiate sex."

"Meaning?" Jimmy asked having leaned up on his elbows to look Desmond in the eye.

"When it comes to sex, you can't keep your hands to yourself," Desmond told him.

"Go fuck yourself on something sharp and pointy," Jimmy muttered as he rolled to his feet and stormed back to the bungalow they were renting for this impromptu beach vacation.

"Whatever, asshole," Desmond threw at Jimmy's retreating back. He hadn't wanted to come on this stupid vacation in the first place.

Desmond eventually gave up trying to read. The book hadn't been that interesting. He had been using it to annoy Jimmy with. A little pay back for being dragged on this impromptu vacation in the first place.

He stood up, brushed the sand off himself the best he could, gathered up the towels and headed back up to the bungalow.

He entered the bungalow through the door leading to the bedroom only to find Jimmy stretched out naked on the bed sound asleep.

Desmond shook his head. Jimmy always amazed him with his ability to easily fall asleep anywhere and at anytime.

He tossed the towels and book onto the bench at the end of the bed before crawling onto the bed to kiss Jimmy awake.

Jimmy moaned into the kiss and eventually broke it. He looked at Desmond and sighed. "Don't think I've forgiven you, you jerk," he told him.

"The truth hurts," Desmond retorted. "And I told you I didn't want to come on this stupid trip in the first place."

"I get that now," Jimmy muttered as he rolled away from Desmond and sat up. "But why did you come?"

"Fear," Desmond quietly admitted. "I was afraid you would meet someone new and not come back to me."

"I'm not that kind of a man," Jimmy softly retorted. "I've had that done to me, so I won't do that to someone else."

"I know," Desmond admitted. "But fear makes me act irrationally and before I know it I've pushed another person away from me."

"You're going to have to try harder to push me away," Jimmy vowed having turned to face Desmond once again. "You're pretty much stuck with me and my crazy ideas."

"Good," Desmond purred as he drew Jimmy into a loose embrace.

"Something you want?" Jimmy asked knowing exactly where Desmond's brain had gone the moment he had seen Jimmy in all his naked glory.

"I think you're a tad overdressed."

Desmond softly chuckled. He let go of Jimmy, quickly got undressed and then picked back up where he had left off seducing his lover.
