Hi, all! It’s my turn to drop in with our a Monday roundup and kickoff — an overall post of motivation for a week that has words and art in it!

I hope the week is treating you well so far - and if it is not, I hope things will turn around soon. As for me, my weekend was pretty well balanced between getting things done and getting some rest/downtime/outdoor time. I especially enjoyed that last one; somehow work feels that little bit further away when I’m outdoors.

My plan for fic writing is to push aside some of the usual distractions this week: No social media after 7pm, and no more than 1 hour tops for TV and hobbies other than writing. If that doesn’t help…. well, it should, so I’ll commit and look forward to the results.

What’s your plan?

If you’re looking for somewhere to start, the roundup is below.

And your Flash Challenge: Temptations
Where did I come up with that one? Nothing nearly as M rated as you might think- just the kitty’s treat bag on the sofa cushion next to me. :}

Last Week’s Challenges:
Words of the Day- FOMO, Blossom, Camp, Plastic, Brainchild
Slow Sated Sunday- Slow Dancing
Weekend Challenge - Who Are You
Say What Friday- "Creativity is intelligence having fun." Albert Einstein
A to Z challenge: U
Wonderful World of Wednesday - Words, Images and Videos to Inspire
Numbers Challenge: 66

Also, two more notes:
Daily Count Challenge - June's assignments, if you need your dates
May Musical Challenge - K is rewarding if you post w/in two weeks, so... have at 'em!

Hopefully your plan works to get you writing! And I'm laughing at the Temptations... my kitten was trying to steal the other two cats' treats this morning. Baby Vi has a death wish it seems.

My husband went back to work this morning after six weeks off, which makes me happy. If he stayed home for the three months the doctor recommended... divorce might have been imminent. Haha.

As for my own writing plans... I did a tarot spread to help me plot a story I've been stuck on for months. I was kind of freaked out at how accurate some of the cards were. Others confused me, so I need to do a bit of work on that. But.. it's a start, right?

Absolutely, it's a start! Getting the ideas forming is at least half the battle- and definitely the one I'm fighting hardest. Hopefully that'll resolve soon (I keep saying).

That is GREAT! So glad to hear he could go back to work - as you say, for you both. Lol. All fingers crossed for continued success - and the day when it's just a memory in the rear view mirror. :}

My Peaches needed many treats last night - we had thunderstorms, and in my new apartment the windows face a much more broad, open view. The thunder and lightning were making her most unhappy. :{ The Temptations (shrimp flavored) did help.

Exactly! Finding the ideas can sometimes be the hardest part.

Thanks, I thought so, too. He needs to have something to do that's worthwhile and since he has a desk job, there wasn't anything keeping him home. But thank you so much, his recovery has been amazing considering what he went through.

Aw, poor Peaches! We have a cat like that, too. It's probably worse for her since we get so few thunderstorms, she doesn't have a chance to get used to them. But you're a good mama, giving her extra treats and love to calm her down.

I did a lot of house stuff Saturday...and a few words...
And got a lot of words on Sunday and a little bit of house stuff.

Not sure what the week holds...except stress at work. Not sure the electrician comes back this week or not, so don't know about the inside electrical at my house...but I would like to get the living room floor done at least. That would be helpful!

And I'll keep plugging at the rewrite. about 1/2 through but its gonna take me through July Camp I imagine to get this one buttoned down.

Good luck with the rewrite! I can't even believe July camp is only 30 days away. Wow... spring has flown.

And definitely good luck with the electric. I am slowly learning the things that can need attention with a house- water/plumbing seem to be the main issues I'm presented with so far, and (knock wood) none serious yet.... but maintenance is a thing I can see I'm going to have to get used to. :|

Sounds like a great plan, and also that you got some great outdoor time over the weekend!

I had a slightly enforced long weekend (sick on Friday, actual public holiday on Monday), which is never a bad thing, although it would have been nice to have felt better for most of it! I did manage a nice light brunch with my best friend on Sunday and lunch and shopping expedition with my mum on Monday, so it could have been worse! The weather has suddenly dropped several degrees too, which is not surprising since the first official day of winter arrived on Saturday (it's been a VERY mild autumn), so I am not looking forward to the ongoing weeks of getting up in the cold, and there's no long weekends now until late October!

I haven't made any plans for the week so far as I've managed to do very little of the previous weeks' goals for some time now! Hopefully, I'll feel more like tackling something later this week.

I hope motivation finds you, and brings you some words. :) I'm pretty psyched up about the June challenge, and will definitely be giving that a shot!

Shopping sounds fun- I need to do a little of that for work clothes, so it might be on my agenda this weekend.

My life is still making writing difficult, but I am finally dipping my toes back in after a month and a half of no words. In fact I just finished a short challenge fic!

That's great! The accomplished feeling of wrapping up a fic is always nice. :}

Good luck - hope things will continue to improve.
