Monday, Monday... Tuesday, anyone?

OK, so it's not exactly Monday here, but I'm hoping to just catch Monday on the other side of the world! Yup, I had a bit of a brain-fart yesterday and didn't get the post up, though I knew it was my turn.

And then to kick off my Tuesday morning today at work, one of my monitors (I have two) decided to play dead, and it took me half an hour to sort that out and get something working. One bang behind the ear from crawling under a desk to change cords, and one monitor now working fine on another desk (though it sure wasn't playing nice on mine) and another monitor and cord plugged in and reorganised to work how I want it, and I'm finally good to go. Needless to say, no actual work done yet; we won't mention the time. ;-P

However, the rest of this week is set to go well, or at least I'm remaining positive! Last weekend I managed to catch up to where I should be on my yearly goal for words, so I am determined to keep on top from here on in!

I have Friday off this week because my middle child is off to Borneo for two weeks! YES! So exciting - she's never left NZ and her first port of call is Borneo! She's doing an animal management course at university, and as part of her studies some of them (who have worked hard to earn the money!) are going to visit some orangutan and sun-bear sanctuaries over there. Should be a fantastic trip!

Anyway, 'Mummy' has to have time off on Friday to go with her to the dog kennels where she works to settle her pup in while she's gone (and for me to meet the owners). To save more time and energy for the long-suffering parents who will already be taking care of the two rabbits and five guinea-pigs (in addition to our two cats) while she's gone, Remmy the Golden Retriever is going to have a holiday at the kennels. We'll go to take him out for a walk a few times while she's gone, but it's easier knowing he'll be kept company and can be happy during the days while we're working. As that won't take all day, it will give me some time on Friday afternoon at home to do some stuff for ME (like writing!) before we have to deliver said daughter to the airport!
