Say What Friday

Hello all...

Welcome to the second Friday of the month and International Woman's Day.

Take a moment to enjoy being a woman and then get on with kicking ass and taking names.

To honor the day I'm going to give you a couple of quotes.

"Well-behaved women rarely make history."

Laurel Thatcher Ulright

"Being a woman is a terribly difficult task, since it principally consists of dealing with men.

Have fun with them.

A 100 words or 1 icon will get you a drabble from a fandom of your choice or 100 words added to one of my wips.

k...I've written a longish roleplay scene today and used a whole bunch of prompts...so I'm gonna clip out the excerpts as I go...

She had looked skeptically at Gabriel when he brought her the news.

“I don’t know what I can do,” she admitted. “You’re all fine with letting me do whatever I think might work? Whatever it takes?”

Gabriel had hesitated briefly, contemplating her words, wondering what she had in mind, before finally saying, “Well-behaved women rarely accomplish greatness. It takes thinking outside of the norm…outside of the…just…do not harm him. We are trusting you to do that, at least.”

“You know harming him is the last thing I want to do,” she said with a sigh, wondering what he was implying with his comment. Was she ill-behaved? Did he think some degree of impropriety was necessary to reach Conrael?

Did she really want to go that far?

It's very diverse. Basically each writer has a 'house'...with clones of film, tv, book and original characters who live in the fictitious city (and area around) named Havensport. The only real limits is they don't allow more than 3 of any particular character in town (we had 3 Mad Maxs at one time) and that if you write a character who is excessively powerful (like a gal that writes Thor) you find ways to limit them so that they can't take over the world lol. Oh...and you can't hurt/kill someone elses characters without some agreement between the writers ;)

This creates some interesting opportunities for pairings and relationships. We've been at it for more than 15 years now...its slowed way down with writers leaving or RL getting in the way for some...but we're always looking for new blood :)

So my 'angels' are Azazael (Michael Fassbender from Hex), Xas (Gaspard Uliel from Vinter's Luck) Gabriel (Andy Whitfield from the film Gabriel) and my original angel Conrael (fashioned after Conrad Veidt's 'stranger' in The Passing of the Third Floor Back)....
And Tamara is 'me' ;)

That does sound interesting and fun in a complicated way.

I have limited internet access, so I'll have to think about joining in.
