It's Monday Again!

Hello March!  I’m hoping that the new month is bringing some milder weather for everyone on the East Coast/Midwest US.  We got another bout of rain, but it’s been beautiful despite that.  So, no complaints here.  Well, aside from my younger child constantly reminding me that this school year is almost over and she will be a senior before long.  *sigh*

Okay, enough of the mom woes.  Hahaha.  How’d you fare last week?  Did you have a good February?  If not, what can we do to help inspire you?

Reminders:

1. Flash Challenge!  Your flash challenge prompt is: herbs.  Give me 100 words or a graphic and I’ll reward you with my undying love and admiration.

2. Last week’s challenges:

3. Big Buddy 10%!  It's really early in the month so if you're behind, don't sweat it.

Signups for March are here!  I shouldn’t have made any math mistakes here because 10% of a round number is relatively easy.  But then, this IS me we’re talking about so…

4. The Daily Count challenge is here , all ready to go for a new month.

5. There is a March challenge about to start, although I’m not 100% positive what it is yet.  But you should be seeing a post soon since bingo is officially over now.

Anyway, happy Monday!  Let’s go out and have an amazing week, we’ve got this, guys!

I'm ahead of schedule this month. Thanks to three rounds of word sprints yesterday I'm at about 1400.

Awesome, congrats! I know how much the word wars help me, glad the sprints gave you the boost you needed.

It's all good, we're only 4 days into the month. Plenty of time to catch up. And hey, I gave you drama, that ought to spur a few dozen words. :D

I'm just under 700 words so a bit short, but not too bad.

I am actually ahead for this month, although since I'm behind for last month, I am not technically ahead at all... *head hurts*

AND I am behind elsewhere - I completely forgot to do the count at the weekend *headdesk*, and after reminding everyone as well. And I can't guarantee I'll find time tonight as my mum will be over, but I'll try!

It'll all balance out in the end, I have faith!

Aw, enjoy the time with your mom. It's definitely more important. The count can wait another day or two!

I started the day only halfway to where I should be but I've managed to pick up the word count since then which is a positive development. (For some reason, the past two weeks I've gone through a pretty stagnant period writing-wise.)

We got a bit of snow yesterday and temps near zero today, so not sure when the milder weather is going to be here for good. I would like it to be nice enough to be able to take a walk during the day. Maybe when April rolls around it'll happen.

My niece is going to be a senior next year too. She's already informed us that she'll be going somewhere on the East Coast to college, which will be great for her, but, yeah, the waterworks will be coming.

The flash prompt is intriguing. I'll have to see about whipping something up for it.

Hope the rest of your week is great. Happy writing!

Hooray for catching up! That's great news.

Ugh on the snow. I have a friend near Philly and they got dumped on. No thanks, I'll stick with the heat. Haha.

That would be so hard. My younger one will have to go away somewhere, because there isn't a local veterinary program. BUT there is one at the other state college. So, she'll be local, but not at home. Which is... good and bad. *sobs*

I have an overabundance at the moment so herbs were on my mind! I'll be interested to see what you can come up with.

So far, so good - and right back atcha!

Original - A Cutting Exchange - 198 words
“Did you get it?”

“I tried, but the store was all out.”

“What do you mean ‘all out’? Did you ask?”

“Yeah, I did, but apparently there was some sort of Thanksgiving in March thing going-“

“Thanksgiving in March?”

“Yeah, you know. Like Christmas in July, but only with turkey and stuffing so that’s where all the sage went.”

“I’m not letting the product out onto the street as it is.”

“I know that. It’s why I picked up this.”

“Cilantro. Tell me, are you trying deliberately to destroy our business or is this just general idiocy?”

“I don’t understand.”

“Let me break it down for you. Cilantro is one of those herbs that you either really like or you really hate. There’s no in between. Sell it to a hater and they stop buying from us. They start buying from another guy and the other guy gets them and their friends while we’re stuck with a bunch of product that should just be made into salsa. Now, take twenty bucks out of your earnings and go to some store and get some sage like I asked.”

“Alright.”

“And drop this off with my wife. It’s taco night.”

This is amazing. This is also why I don't send others to the store fore me. HAHAHA.

This is awesome! Although, I think Sunny is more of a basil girl. The little tiger striped cat rubbing their face on the plant though reminds me of Nayla. :)
