Lazy Labor Day!

So it's Monday again, but to me it's a holiday from work and I'm opting to be lazy.

I'mma get up and exercise in a few minutes, and then we're supposed to buy some cement and make stepping stones, but it's supposed to be hot and humid in my neck of the woods today, so maybe not.

I will put up links to last week's doings later on in the week, but until then, just get yourselves up to 13% of where you want to be, and enjoy what you have!

You and me both!

Ugh on the humidity... and maybe wait on the stepping stones? Doesn't high humidity affect how the concrete sets?

Have a great day off. I'm going to get some words in as soon as I manage to uncover the email I'm looking for and then I'm going to try and read my book. I have a a friend breathing down my neck because I haven't finished it yet. *sigh* First world problems, eh?

HAPPY MONDAY AND HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

The biggest thing I can say about yesterday was that I did exercise, we did got to see the marker we (finally) had done for our mother, and we bought the decorative supplies that we wanted to get for making the stones, we did groceries, and we went to Ihop. We did not get markers made, we didn't buy cement or forms, and we got in an arguement with an old biddie at a store we went to. I'm not sure the day was a win.

Today is NOT a win, and 9pm cannot come quick enough, let alone 5. I've been watching 'tiny goats visit' on you tube, and it makes me happier.

HAPPY SEPTEMBER TO YOU!

I think you can call yesterday a draw, if nothing else. And one thing I've learned growing up in Vegas is that breaking even is harder than winning or losing. :D

Ugh, I am so sorry you're having a rough day. If you need to vent, you know where I am. Although you're getting close to 5 PM at least.

IT IS SEPTEMBER! Although we're in for triple digit days for a few more weeks.

I got a letter in the mail today that I will have a BRUTAL day coming up the week before my vaca (which will make my vaca feel that much better), and it will be a hectic few weeks getting ready for that day. And while I would love to rant about it, I am kind of living in denial about it. AND my father is at my house today, so while I don't want to be at work, I also don't want to be at home. *sigh*

I'm going to look at the goats again.

I'm so sorry. *hugs* And I get being in denial, I've got one of those situations going on myself with my husband. But... face it head on and know you're not alone.

Go look at the goats! And if you go look at my FB profile page, a friend posted a video of Jimmy Fallon and Blake Shelton milking a cow that was pretty darn funny.

So yesterday/last night I became ravaged by a persistently lurking plot bunny...who insisted on identifying and naming its cast...for 3 freaking hours! It has been haunting me for awhile (my rp character has been suggesting he deserves his own book...I guess he's pushing to get his way)

I woke up with a series of opening images pounding away in my skull, phrases and interconnecting pictures that tells me this is going to be rather noirish for a story about angels and demons and humans. I'm gonna get some breakfast and write it all down before the ideas are forgotten, before the shiny wears off, or before they drive me insane ;)

So my 'labor day' is going to be pretty labor intensive...giving birth to a new world. I didn't want to tackle a new project until NaNo...

But it seems I'm being given no other choice. Premature birth it is. At least a first chapter I suspect.

So maybe some noir-like bingo cards/prompts are in order...

I didn't do a complete chapter...just 2 scenes (3.5 pages) but it took me forever to get the words right.
Wish I could paste it in here to get some feedback ;)

Finally got the rain that had been teasing us the past few days.

Good writing weather. Since I got the day off, I should be able to post a good number for the daily count.

Good luck with the stepping stones.

It's kind of hot here, but I can definitely feel that it's 'august' kind of hot- less direct sun than July, so just that touch cooler. I hope we have a long fall to enjoy. This week, I'm going to keep on the bingo cards - and once they are posted I am hoping for some words. So it'll be work-run-knit-write. That outta keep me busy. :)

Wonderful! Maybe not the concreting on a humid day? Ah, I say, take the rest. I'll celebrate NZ's Labour Day after we return from LAS VEGAS, baby! (sorry, that sentence kind of got kidnapped by intense squeeing).

I have been bad and haven't even posted the August Rush icons I made for GoT... eeek! I need to do that, asap, although it probably won't be tonight. So if I get that done and start in on AR rewards before the week ends, I'll call that a win!

Been a pretty relaxed day so far. I would stay away from the heat & humidity as much as possible (and I have been). Here's hoping that breaks soon. I watched the new "Tomb Raider" movie- I was unimpressed (I've never played the video game but it seemed like she fell a lot in the movie & was not that smart). I went to the bookstore later in the day and picked up a copy of "A Thousand Splendid Suns" which I have read before, but since I continually list it as one of my favorite books, I thought I'd actually have it in my library. I also picked up "Simon vs. The Home Sapiens Agenda" which looks like it'll be a fun read. I haven't written anything this weekend. I spent about four hours setting up links for the things I've written from January to April and spent part of today cleaning, so it hasn't been entirely unproductive.

Have a great rest of the week!
