Magnificent Monday!

Hey everyone, it's Monday again, and I am less prepared than I should be for this post. Unfortunately both of my computers are having internet issues and posting today in any greater detail than this is just not going to happen. If I was going to be in the orifice tomorrow morning I could sort it, but today and tomorrow I'm in a workshop meeting all day, with no access to a computer, so I'm currently typing this on the app on my phone, which means finding the codings for the links to this past week's challenge info is just not going to happen, I'm sorry.

It's been a challenging weekend at my place in any case; my husband had to go to the hospital by ambulance on Saturday night, and he only got released tonight (don't worry, he's okay!), I had this workshop to attend away from my normal workplace today, and on top of that I had to deliver one of our cats to the vets so he could have his teeth cleaned and assessed.  Thankfully, he didn't have to have any teeth removed and he's back home tonight in fine form.

With those things resolved, the rest of the week should be easier, though the other cat goes in for teeth treatment tomorrow and I'm still at the workshop, at least my husband will be resting at home and not bored and waiting to find out when they will release him from the hospital.  If I can manage to gather the screencaps I'm tasked with finding for August Rush before too many more days pass, I'm going to call the week a success!

Now, how about you? What challenges are you dealing with at the moment, and what do you hope to achieve this week?

Big Buddiers, you are on 97%. I'm sorry I don't have your individual numbers at this point, but are you close to your monthly goal? Do you need any help or encouragement?

The flash challenge for the week is: Xrays

Don't forget to get your Pool Party creations posted! You have one more day!

And we have a bunch of other stuff out there too, so check the tags for Word of the Day, Numbers challenge, A-Z challenge, Wonderful World of Wednesday, Say What Friday, and the Weekend Challenge. Hopefully, I haven't missed anything.

Let's get out there and let's CREATE!!! ;-)

Sounds like you've had quite the weekend. Hopefully it'll slow down for you a bit and you can relax and enjoy the week.

I am looking forward to Wednesday and the start of a new month. The past two weeks have been very draining as far as work is concerned as I am tasked to do all the paperwork processing for the end of the month. We had an event on Saturday which meant last week was more like 6 days of work than 5. I've got some decent time off coming up in another week so I hope to get a bit of relaxation time in then.

Had a very productive week in terms of writing - 2066 words. I finally finished my Pool Party fic and am sitting at 4567 words for July (so far).

Have an excellent week!

OMG, yes! I am so relieved to be past all that. I was exhausted by the end of yesterday with everything and all the running around. I still need more sleep, but I hope to have another early night tonight if I can.

Oh wow, you've been pretty darn busy yourself! I hope your time off is a nice, relaxing time!

Your production this week does sound excellent though, so that's fantastic! ;-)

PS: matching icons! (almost)

*hugs to B and the cats*

I desperately need to get another few hundred words to make the 1k for the pool party, but IDK. My assistant is on a well earned vacation this week which means a bit hectic here at the job.

I did finish a knitting project yesterday and got started on another one, both Christmas gifts.

AND I got a card posted to New Zealand last week so I'm calling it a win!

Hope your week gets smoother!

And I'm done, another 341 for Stratton is posted and that brings me to the minimum for the pool party. I'd hoped for more, but...

Thank you!

Did you make the pool party? I think I saw that you did somewhere else, but my brain is loosely engaged today, so I can't be sure.

YAY for the awesome knitting!!!

WOOT! As I think I
m the only person you know in NZ, I am very excited that you got a card posted here!!!

THANK YOU! It should be calmer now we are back to normal.

Challenge for the week...bwuhahahahaha (sarcasm heavy)
1/2 of our county has been displaced due to 2 different fires. We have a smoke blanket and even inside (at least in the office) it smells like smoke. Hard to breath and see outside and the whole fire thing is making me sick...

But yes, I've made my count, finished what I intended to finish, have done a couple other things as prep work for NaNaWriMo...and am now wondering what sort of work day this is going to pan out to be. With my boss's health issues, I hope he doesn't go out in the smoke.

So sorry you're all going through that. :\ I can't imagine living with that every day for weeks.

*massive hugs* I hope everyone you know is safe. We have been hearing about the fires on the news here, and it sounds horrific. I just hope you get some decent rain AND that the fires are all out or under control before too much longer.

I'm so impressed that you always seem to make your targets no matter what else is going on with you. Fantastic work!

Sadly we're not likely to get rain until October...

I'll settle for fires staying out in the woodlands, clearing out the dead brush etc, reducing the possibilities of future fires...and not burning houses.

Thankfully, everyone I know is safe thus far, just choking on smoke.

I hope I can manage August's count...I'm kinda flailing for what to work on tbh.

Ouch, that's rough. (here's a rain icon; hope your weather gets the hint)

And yeah, I totally get that. Here's hoping.

Glad to hear they are safe, and I hope the smoke gets less soon.

You will find something; I am sure of it! Good luck!

Oh yikes, I'm glad your husband is okay. And the cat, too. Hahaha. Nayla needs to go in for her vaccinations and that's not going to be fun at all.

DOH. I meant to save the scan I made and not post my comment. WHOOPS.

Anyway, close on my Big Buddy but not sure if I'm going to make it this month or not. It'll be close either way.

I am pretty glad myself! He'll be on medication now for the rest of his life, but at least he's otherwise in good health and it's not like we have to watch him constantly or anything.

Close is pretty good anyway! No matter what, you made words and that is excellent! ;-)

Poor guy, but it's better than the alternative. And that he's in good health overall helps.

Thanks. :)

I'm hopeful for a creative last couple of days of July, and if we are going to get a summer-lull at work, it'll be in August. Maybe I can get myself more fully back into writing mode, I'd like that. Beyond that, all I know is I'm aiming for more running, knitting, writing, and better sleep - that's about all the stuff I've got the bandwidth for!
