And... it's the Final Monday for May!

awesome Monday.jpg

And here we are on the last Monday of May already! How did that happen so fast? We've just hit a cold snap down here in NZ, which is making it feel like winter has finally arrived - I think I need to change to the winter duvet this weekend! Conversely, I know some of you will be hitting the hot weather; hopefully that's a welcome change of weather and it's not suddenly too hot already.

So, what are your plans for being awesome this week? I must admit that I have not managed to be very awesome at all, words-wise, for some months now, so I really need to pull finger. Last week I did get a bit closer than I have been, as I actually thought about making icons, so maybe this week I can put that thought into action!

Here are the reminders and other things you need to help kick you off for the week:

1 – FLASH CHALLENGE – In honour of 'Dancing with the Stars NZ', which I am currently watching, your amazing Monday prompt is - "dance like no-one's watching" Give me 100 words or a graphic for the fabulous sake of saying you’ve done it!

2 – Reminder of last week’s challenges:

Astroturfing - Tub-Thump - U - June Bingo prompts request - WWoW - Carking
330 - Pantofle - Ken - SWF - WC - The Girl Detective Edition
Daily Count Challenge June - sign-ups - Big Buddy June - sign-ups - Omnishambles - Spagyric

3 – Big Buddy 90% - Are you all on schedule for a big finish on Thursday?

sharpiesgal - 900
cmk418 - 3,600
agdhani - 27,000
candream - 4,500
katleept - 28,000
flipflop_diva - 9,000
thatwasjustadream.dreamwidth.org – 9,000
lesbiancleophas - 15,750

4 – And don't forget to check out the tag for all the Rare Pairs daily prompts for this month's challenge, which will be wrapping this week! Next month: BINGO!

Let's be careful out there, everyone, and let's make words!

It's already too damn hot. Went from winter straight to summer. Hurricane season has even started early this year. The official beginning is June first. That's life in Southeast Texas.

I have the week off, so hopefully I pull some words out of somewhere to reach my goal for this month.

I'm also starting over my lazy low carb diet, so I can lose the weight I gained over the past six months. I had been doing good, but the holidays knocked me for a loop.

The puppies are doing well, so life is good. :)

I hear you on the heat - we started hitting triple digits weeks ago. It's going to be a brutal summer, I think.

Good luck with the weight loss and the words! You can whip both into shape!

Ouch; that doesn't sound so great! I hope it's not all sweat and storms.

Woot to having the week off! I hope it helps with your goal!

Good luck with the weight loss plan. Any diet with the word 'lazy' in the title sounds reasonable to me, though I've no idea what it involves. I hope it works, anyway!

And yay! Puppies doing well is always a good thing!

Ugh, my writing this month has been an utter fail. I have all these great ideas and no motivation to get them out. I keep hoping to at least get the rare pair done.

As for this week, my older girl is graduating high school tomorrow and I'm both thrilled and a little sad. I'll let her be the awesome one since I've been such a flop this month. Hahaha.

You can do it, I know you can! Having ideas is a brilliant start, so go for it, even if the rare pair idea bleeds over into next month.

Congrats on being the parent of a high-school graduate! I'm sure you;re both awesome! Good luck with the transition from 'school-age-child parent' to 'semi-adult-student parent'! It's not easy - they're still your 'kid', but have a whole new place in the world of tertiary study and/or employment that you both have to negotiate in quite a different way to when they were at school. I'm sure you'll both do well, though! ;-)

Thank you! I got one thing written - about 700 words - and that was it. I'm calling it a loss for this month and getting started fresh for June.

Again, thanks. It all went well and the ceremony was great. I hear you - she got a job about two months ago and now has a car, so we've been easing into that semi-adult state for a bit now. Hahaha - I'm way past being semi-adult and my mother still treats me like a kid, so I know that won't ever end.

I'm at 2807 for my word count. If I can post around 300 words/day for the next 3 days, I'll make it, so I'm worried but not too worried. The motivation has not been there this month at all. I did manage to make 5 icons last week, so that was a bonus.

The heat is ridiculous and it's not even June. Can you send a little of that cold snap in my direction?

This week, some more vacation planning - my sister, dad, nephew & I are going to the NHL draft next month in Dallas so we're doing a road trip. It should be fun.

That is not too shabby - keep at it; you can do it! I feel you on the motivation; I seem to have lost mine some time ago and am finding it really hard to re-find!

Cold snap being shoved in your direction... well, it would be if I had control of the weather! LOL. I shouldn't complain - this week may be cold but at least the sun is shining, which makes a nice change from all the rain we seem to get.

YAY for vacation planning! ROAD TRIP!!! I do so love those - I hope you and the family have a great one when it rolls around! ;-)

did a little writing...and a lot of editing...and a little graphic stuff over this three day weekend. Not as much as I'd intended, but still a lot.
As for the rest of the week...I dunno...work...edit/write...sleep...eat...repeat?

Sounds like you were still on schedule enough to be happy!

And the plan for the week will work! I have faith. ;-)

Our inventory at work was postponed so instead of having extra shifts I had 3 days off.

I had plans, good intentions, *insert platitude here* to write, but instead we binge watched Season 13 of Supernatural. Curse you, Netflix. LOL.

YAY for 3 days off!

HA! Netflix is both a blessing and a curse, it's true! ;-)
