okay...I've killed a lot of prompts with one piece (and have created a 'rare pair' in the process...). It won't let me paste the whole thing, so I'll use relevant bits only.

Fandoms: Legion/Hemlock Grove/The Passing of the Third Floor Back
Rated PG...only for the trippiness ;)

The driver took off his hat with one hand as the car shot off away from the storm and he slicked back his dark, slightly greying hair with that same thin hand. The sleeves of his tweed coat, colorless in the darkness, seemed a little too short for the length of his arms. His face was narrow, not quite gaunt, and the chiseling of his features had left his eyes deep-sunk and piercing in their blueness.

How she could know they were blue, she was not sure. But she was certain they were.

Blue just like David’s.

“You’re not real…”

“I assure you I am,” the driver chuckled. “As real as you want me to be…as real as…” He adjusted the rearview mirror to monitor the maw behind them and scowled.

“David, who…?”

“I thought you were my friend…until they…and then the doctors…I thought I made you up…”

“No…no, not you…I assure you.”

The wolf pressed his head onto Tamara’s lap as if to pin her down as the car moved faster.

Tamara scowled. How could she and David had possessed the same imaginary friend…when he was a clone who had only existed for a handful of years? The stranger might have inserted himself into David’s memories…just as Farouk had done…altering them willy-nilly…but why? Why would someone so seemingly kind and benevolent do such a thing…?

She had never seen his face, of course…and the face he wore now was one she knew…one that could have made him a clone himself…had he not been with her all of her life. For he had been there. She knew his voice.
