You know what we haven't done yet? We haven't told everyone what our favourite things (or those creations we are most proud of) we did last year were!

So here is your chance! Link us in a comment here to the 1-5 creations you posted last year that you are most proud of/glad to have finished/amazed at how it turned out, or whatever other category you like!

I would start us off, but I didn't actually post any fic last year... which is shocking, I know, but true. *sigh* I did manage a fair amount of graphics last year though, and I guess the bunch of icons I did for the 100-in-100 in December is what I am most proud of. I love the way most of these turned out, and felt really pleased that I was able to finally contribute a decent number of 'graphic words' to finish out the year since my 'written words' was such an abject failure!

I'll add your creations to this post and add it to our side links as they appear, so go looking through your stash and comment + link away! ;-)

Things We're Proud Of!

'Spidey Senses and Super Senses AKA Superbros' series - Spiderman/Daredevil

Kentucky - OZ/Justified crossover

My favourite and definitely most popular thing I wrote during 2017 was definitely the 'Spidey Senses and Super Senses AKA Superbros' series (https://archiveofourown.org/series/810492). Someone put the idea of Matt Murdock and Peter Parker being adopted brothers in my head and my love of Tom Holland Spider-Man and Charlie Cox Daredevil begged this to be written and is still an ongoing series! It was definitely the most fun to write and each instalment has over 80 kudos which is good for me :D

That's fantastic! It's so good when something like that happens and you enjoy the fun of it as much as anything! ;-)

I think my biggest accomplishment of 2017 was deciding to publish at last. That was a HUGE decision for me ;)

And that is a HUGE achievement! Congrats! You have been writing and talking about the books for so long! Would you like to link us to where we can find the first one, at least, if you're comfortable doing so?

should I tag it in here or its own post...I wasn't sure
if shameless plugs were okay lol

Whichever you like! We are so proud of you, and yes, we want to encourage others to see it is possible, and therefore we want to see the finished product, and maybe some of us may even buy it, you never know! ;-)

I'll have to search through my stuff but I don't know that I published anything last year. I feel so unproductive in that respect.

I know how you feel! I hope you find something you feel happy to share with us as a good moment!

Not sure if this is allowable since I wasn't active in this community last year (only lurking), but here's my small contribution: I didn't write a lot last year (other than 50K of slightly suspect hockey memories for NaNo), but I did find a couple of pieces that I wrote and I want to share. Both are for the OZ fandom, but both take place after the series so you really wouldn't have had to see it to enjoy either story.

Kentucky - an OZ/Justified crossover - I don't normally write crossover fics so it was fun just to be able to work with two different shows that I loved

Long Live the King - This was written for the 20th anniversary of OZ and the prompt was a quote from the very first episode. I looked at three different stories for this quote before finally settling my focus on a character that doesn't show up until the last two or three episodes of the series

As always, the usual warning about coarse language goes along with everything I post from the OZ 'verse.

Oh, absolutely! Even if we didn't count the words here, we're all for encouraging people to share here! And if you are proud of them, why not! ;-)

Hmm, I think I'd have to go with everything is good, a the good place fic with Chidi/Eleanor/Tahani. I'm really pleased with how Chidi's voice came out and it was a lot of fun to write :)

Fantastic! It always makes me smile when people are pleased with how they did something, and having fun along the way is such a bonus! ;-)

I have three that I wrote last year that I am extremely proud of:

This was my very first time writing for Grimm and the pairing Nick Burkhardt/Adalind Schade. It was written for the Het Big/Little Bang. And the fic practically wrote itself.
The Lows and Highs of Us

This was written for the Rare Pair Fest. It was my very first time writing for DC's Legends of Tomorrow and the pairing Mick Rory/Ray Palmer
A Timely Confession

This was my first time joining in the Supernatural Reversebang and my first time writing Gadreel/Sam Winchester.
The Feather

Fantastic! So many words! ;-)

I think my largest brag is not a single story, but rather that I added 19 Fandoms to my list, bringing my fandom number to 85 different fandoms. My goal for this year is simply 5 more. Yes, I am crazy for wanting 90 fandoms under my writing belt.

Still, there are a few stories:
More than Fate (1167 words) by FairyNiamh
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Yuri!!! on Ice (Anime)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Katsuki Yuuri/Victor Nikiforov
Characters: Katsuki Yuuri, Nishigori Yuuko, Victor Nikiforov
Additional Tags: Car Accidents, Major Character Injury, Angst with a Happy Ending, Not Canon Compliant, Hurt/Comfort, Community: 1_million_words, Community: hc_bingo, Community: genprompt_bingo
Summary: Yuuri wants to prove he can push beyond the cards dealt him and his physical limitations.

I was so proud of this story. I had been waiting to write it since the beginning of last year. Not the most well received, but I had fun pushing the limits in a new fandom.

Little Red (11716 words) by FairyNiamh
Chapters: 10/10
Fandom: Teen Wolf (TV)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski
Characters: Talia Hale, Cora Hale, Derek Hale, Stiles Stilinski, Scott McCall, Laura Hale, Sheriff Stilinski, Original Female Character(s), Papa Hale
Additional Tags: Alive Hale Family, Pre-Slash, Stalker Derek Hale, Mates, Confessions, Not Beta Read, Alternate Universe, Misunderstandings, Implied/Referenced Homophobia, Fluff, Slice of Life, Food, Casual drinking, Mild Angst, Meeting the Parents, First Dates, Amnesia
Summary: It started out as one thing and soon became something more.

Does this count as a song fic? A different song inspired each chapter. It was supposed to be a drabble, but it got carried away.

You are just amazing with that fandom list! Good luck with hitting 90 this year - I have faith that you will do it!

And man, you have racked up some words there, too! ;-)

Golden Girls/Modern Family: Manny + Sophia + Dorothy + Miles/Rose + Jay/Gloria + Blanche + Coco: Family Shines Brightest, 7,793 words

Last year seems to have been my year for original fiction stories, and that's where I had trouble cutting it down. But here are the three I finally decided on. :)

Original Fiction:

The Kittytown Knights, 3,437 words

General Robert E. Lee: At the War’s End, 3,142 words

A Batty Member of the Family, 6,314 words
