Weekend Challenge!

Here we are again on another bright & sunny summer day in NZ, rip-roaring and ready to go! I hope the weather isn't too dreary and cold for those of you in northern parts of the world!

As I am off to the art gallery this morning to see some Renaissance art, today's challenge will be all about culture! I will give you a one world prompt based on art and culture!  Do what you will with it, but aim for more than 200 words or 2 icons or more, and post or link to it here by Thursday 18th Jan, and I will reward you with a drabble, an icon or 100 words in a WIP!

Comment here and  as I can, I will prompt you! Tell me if you want one word or more, bearing in mind I will be finding these as I go through my day!

since I don't even know what I'll be writing over the weekend...I'm going to be a masochist and ask for 3 so I have something to choose from...maybe I'll get them all in the same fic :)

Alrighty! Sorry for the delay, it got to be a busy day walking around not only the art gallery, but down the main street of Auckland and to the waterfront area.

You get: painting, realism, patron.

Good luck!

Brought the three into the Happiness prompt...
Still part of the dream sequence I'm crafting (non specific fandom)

The vision of that single red rose amidst the vacant white landscape, like a painting and yet the only image of realism the dream had yet to present, gradually replaced the ice in his core with a glow of white within. As it grew and spread, soothing the beetle burn, it turned the virgin snow pink. The healthy pink of life, that quenched the ground, spawned a regrowth of green that he knew mirrored her eyes. The glow from within became the glow from without, the bright whisper of singing birds, a warmth that cast away the blanket of fury and remorse, and as a butterfly shed its cocoon, he realized all he needed to do was stretch…reach out…seek out his patron…and be free in the light once again.

Oh, well done! You got them all in there, and happiness too!

Now, what should your reward be?

I'm good with rewarding me with words to your own WIPs :)

I was feeling so stuck for where to start today, so I'm glad I had the prompts to draw from.
