I love this quote! And I just discovered that today is 'kiss a ginger day' so um... I have an idea, I think. (And I did my civic duty and kissed my husband, hah)

a snippet of what I'm working on right now.

He was not sure what subject matter Bruce was complaining about today, but if he followed the pattern of the last few weeks, then Matthew guessed it was philosophy that Bruce cared little about. Bruce was a hands-on learner, wanted to be involved…create, build, act. Pursuits of the mind were far less engaging for him.

“I am not uninteresting…”

“I said uninterested,” he chuckled again.

“Philosophy isn’t going to help me help people…”

“That depends on what you intend to do with your life…how you intend to help them. Law often finds…”

Bruce grunted and pushed the book back. “I’m no lawyer.” If his life had gone the way he thought it should have, he would have inherited Wayne Enterprises and fallen into the business world. Maybe philosophy would have helped him then, but here, in this life, there was no Wayne Enterprises, there were no Waynes to direct his life, and though he had money enough, he was not content to merely live a life of leisure off of that investment he had inherited.
