Advent, Day 21: Shadowhunters

This show gets better and better! I am not fond of Clary or Jace, but I so love most of the other characters, especially Magnus & Alec!

I made a bunch of icons of my favourites; I'm not completely happy with all of them, but a few feel good to me. Hopefully you will agree!

I watched season one...but Clary rubbed me totally the wrong way.
I totally loved Magnus though :)

Oh, exactly! She is less aggravating in S2 (or maybe I just got more used to her), but Magnus (and Alec) shine! I also very much like Luke and Simon, and Izzy kicks ass! ;-)

These are really awesome! One day, I'll read the books and watch the show but... not yet. Hahaha.

Thank you! Some of them came out a little darker than intended, but overall they're not too bad. One day, grasshopper! (on the other hand, if you're a sucker for a pretty face on a guy who's 6'5" tall, GO WATCH NOW. Alec... I'll say no more!

Hahahahaha! I'm a sucker for a lot of things, a pretty face just one of them. Eventually I will, but I have this weird obsession of needing to read the source material first.

I totally get that, although I tend to be the other way around because I'm usually disappointed with what they do/don't put in movies/TV from the source material, whereas a book fulfills so much more in my imagination, but I will admit that in this case I had read it first. They do stray somewhat from the book, but the one thing they kept integral to the story was the Magnus/Alec relationship and that pleases me inordinately, so I'm there!!! Not to mention Matthew Daddario's so-pretty-it-hurts face!!! I am so shallow...

My issue is that my husband is constantly asking questions about the things that were left out because a lot of the time it's obvious something's missing. So I need the information. Hah! But yes, as long as they keep faithful to the important parts of the story, I'm good.

ROFL - we're all allowed to appreciate pretty things.

LOL! I have to laugh as my hubby also asks me about things that he doesn't understand or follow when we are watching things together... even if I DON'T KNOW ANY MORE THAN HE DOES and we are both just seeing something for the first time with no prior knowledge whatsoever... *rolls eyes*

My husband made me crazy with the Harry Potter movies. The first three weren't so bad, but as the books got longer and they had to cut things out of the movies, the questions flew. I wanted to slap him with my hardback copy of Goblet of Fire. That's hysterical that he does that to you even though he knows you have no idea. LOL

This is one of those shows that I only know a bit about, and only via Tumblr posts, lol. That actor who plays Alec...so pretty.

Not sure the show would be my thing, but something to keep on the 'rainy sunday' list. :)
