Wonderful World of Wednesday

" Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind"

Virginia Woolf

There are times when the voices clamor to be heard and then there are times when we are hollering in into the void, hoping for anything to whisper back to us.

**Warning** None

There are times when we visit the likes of our youth (bands, singers, television shows, movies, books) and we think 'WTF was I thinking', other times we remember why we liked it and fall in love, all over again. (Yes, I am a 1980s New Kids fan… I also liked Queen and Aerosmith. :P)

OMG, NKOTB! My sister was such a huge fan! At 13 she conned me (16 and way into hair bands) into going to a show with her. It was... an experience. But, I will admit, they put on a good show, even if poor Joey was sick. :D I know where you're coming from though because I love to listen to the 80's channel on my XM and sometimes I'm like... but WHY AMY?

I've never heard this song before though, it's pretty good. Hah.

The quote is awesome, too.

A lot of the 80s music has stood the test of time. Kids today even recognize a lot of the songs, if not the artists. Music wise, I am glad to be an 80s child. Clothes wise, we gladly left those. Though, sadly, some of the clothes are trying to make a comeback. *shudders*

This is from their comeback album (2013). I feel they have gotten better as their voices matured. :)

I know my girls (15 and 17) know a lot of random music from playing Rockband with their father. :D But I do agree - the music of the late 70's and 80's was great. Hahaha @ the clothes though.

Awesome. I've never heard any of their newer stuff, so I'll have to see if this is on Spotify.
