Awesome Monday

Hello all...

Welcome to another Monday.

Do you want to know what is awesome for me at the moment?

It's posting this entry from my phone since the neighbor I was sharing internet with moved over the weekend. :(

On an upbeat note, I've managed to do all the deep housework I had been putting off like forever because I wasn't distracted by FB. :)

Now onto the reason for this post. All the awesomeness that y'all plan to unveil this week.

Me, I plan to get some words down and work on my chi's afghan. I made one for her sister, so now it's her turn.

Let the awesomeness commence.

Oh no, that sucks about your internet. :/ But hooray for the house cleaning! I guess. LOL

I need to work on a few fics and finish my book before it's due back at the library. Other than that, surviving the week would be glorious. :D

Aw, gotta love those little pups. My sister's little Chi, Cleo, is always cold.

The pups aren't happy with me because I rearranged the furniture in the living room after I steamcleaned the carpet.

Bonita likes to go outside and sun herself, so she kinda resembles a baked potato when she does...lol

I have a few options when it comes to interner access, so I won't be completely gone. Might help me focus on my word count since I won't have something to distract me...lol

Hahaha! Reminds me of when we put ceramic tile down in the kitchen. I had one cat who refused to go in for a week.

Aw, how cute is that? Growing up, we had a dog who loved to lay outside in the sun, even during the hottest parts of summer. Weirdo. :)

That's good news all around! Go forth and be productive (something I'm not doing very well with this morning)!

I really don't know what my week is going to be at the moment. Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 to 7, there's going to be a Local Assistance Center to help those who lost their homes in the recent fire to get back on their feet. Our affiliate will be there to take applications for our homeowner program...and somehow I got put in charge. Which means that my days will likely go from 7 to 7...unless I can get our other office gal to split the days...or get our board members to help out.
That many people...and that much emotion...for that many hours...is not going to be fun.
On the other hand, if I get paid for Saturday...and the extra hours...it won't be all bad. But with the boss not liking to do overtime much, I suspect he'll want us to volunteer the extra time...or me, that is.
So very little creativeness is gonna happen here. Thankfully, I've done what I intended for the month...although more prep is always a good thing.

I've got options for internet access, so I won't be completely gone.

The pups weren't happy about the housecleaning part, but it need to get done.

This year hadn't been kind to folks. Between fires and hurricanes a lots of homes have been badly damaged or completely lost, so I wish you well when you have to deal with that.

Glad you reached your monthly goal, and I agree that extra prep time is a good thing.

I am always behind on getting here, but the best thing is I managed to be awesome on Monday night - I got three rewards banners made for August Rush - they're not up there with the graphics some of our members make, but I am relatively happy with them, so I'm calling that awesome! I'm hoping to get through the rest of them this week.

Then I have my 2nd daughter's 19th birthday and Armageddon Expo (NZ's answer to Comic-con) coinciding at the weekend - she is getting a photo with John Barrowman (to which I hope to tag along) and I'll get mine with Nathan Fillion (and drag her with me!). Can't believe lil ol' Auckland scored both of them in the one year!!! My son is dressing up as Ethan from Rick & Morty since they basically stole him and his clothes for this character anyway, so it isn't much different to how he normally looks...

And that is me for this week!

OMG, and I just realised your icon is Richard Gere... HA! (love that man)

Looks like your internet hasn't fully disappeared anyway, which I am glad about, and the cleaning being behind you is a good thing! Have fun making afghans (which are a type of cookie where I'm from, so yum!)
