Say What Friday

Hello darlings...

It's Friday!!!

Time for another quote.

"The amount of sleep required by the average person is five minutes longer."
Wilson Misner

P.S. If you have fur babies or young children, this is something you deal with constantly.

Nice story.

You're welcome. I have fur babies, so I understand where you come from.

the beginning of a heist fic involving Phil Coulson and Hunter from Agents of Shield. no spoilers or warnings necessary :)

He’d always heard it said that a bad manager could destroy even the best team, while a good one inspired both loyalty and hard work from their staff. While Hunter wasn’t so sure he considered himself a ‘team player’, Coulson’s willingness to jump into the shit alongside everyone else working with him was certainly inspirational.

It was also one of the few things that could drag Hunter out of bed when his brain was pleading for the five additional minutes it thought it required.

This particular mission, however, was one that called for a certain degree of finesse, and Hunter was more than a little pleased that Coulson had turned to him, and him alone, to do the job. The high tech gadgets the team had developed in their time together would bypass all but the very best security systems, and Hunter had enough experience in thievery to get in, grab the artifact, and get back out again without too much fuss. The location had been monitored for the past week, and after a side job that had taken them away from Havensport for the last two days, tonight Coulson had finally deemed it to be time to move.

It was only a ring, something bland, unassuming…ancient but not expensive looking…and though Hunter had no idea why this artifact was of so much interest, he wasn’t prone to argue. Maybe there’d be a handful of cash in that safe too, or something else of interest he could sell off to the highest bidder.

Just because he was working for Coulson did not mean he wasn’t also working for himself.

Once a thief always a thief.

Another promising story.
