Say What Friday

Hello my lovelies....

I hope the week has been good to you.

Today's quote is....

"Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it."

Do with it what you will.

Reward is me adding a hundred words to one of my many wips.

You are truly finding some great quotes for this. I cackled out loud when I read today's. Know what I'll be working on later.:D

Thank you. I had to put up with Walmart stupid yesterday and that quote was quite apt for the day I had.

Ugh, I can't even imagine. And I think construction worker stupid is bad, but I know that you're dealing with worse.

I'll try to make it better with a little fun sort of stupid. :D

I've dealt with construction worker stupid, so I know where you are coming from. Walmart stupid is a combination college educated stupid and the customers are always right.

Fun stupid sounds kinda nice. So what is Zayne gonna do now?

I deal with that college educated stupid as well. All three of my bosses went and yet, two of them are stuck in 'field mode' thinking that grammar and spelling and other real world things don't matter.

Ugh - while I get the concept behind 'the customer is always right' - you want to make them happy so they come back - it can sometimes breed an irrational brand of customer that thinks they can do/get whatever they want because they are right (even when they're not).

I love a bit of fun stupid, it makes life entertaining. And so far, I don't know yet. But it'll come to me eventually because he's an incorrigible brat and can't stay out of trouble for long.

Er... and sorry. This got a little long-winded. :D

No worries.

If only we could count these words...lol

I know, right? Between emails and comm comments I'd be way over my word count by now.

I'm glad to read that other talented minds have to deal with such ignorance and stupidty in customers as well. I work at one of the last truck stops/big convenience stores just before you hit Florida going through 'Bama, and I swear there is NO END to the idiots!!

And then just last week, we found out one of our regulars was arrested for killing a twelve year-old girl...

Oh lord, redneck country. I'd rather deal with drunk tourists than some of the people I ran into while living in Texas.

OMG, that's crazy. Just proves you never really know someone.

I'm not sure, but I think south 'Bama might be worse than Texas. In fact, in some ways, I'm sure it is. ;) Don't get me started on the prejudiced, little minds around here or the people who cheerlead murdering!

Oh I have no doubt. I was in an affluent suburb of Houston, and the big city makes a big difference when it comes to that kind of thing.

And... the last part of your comment is even more apt after this weekend. :/ Can we stop the world? I wanna get off.

Oh, and I absolutely LOVE this quote!!
