NaNoWriMo 2021! Day 26/Day 10

Advice: Use prompts and sprints to boost your creativity and word count. Take any of those I’m doling out each day, any of the other prompts offered here on 1_million_words, or look for prompts on FB, Twitter, Instagram etc. Sprints and word wars can be useful tools for those who need the pressure of short-burst producing…so if that is you, find what tools you need and make them work for you.

Prompt: Your main character is sitting at home, minding their own business, when they get a phone call. The person on the other line tells them that they're from the future, and it's vitally important that they don't hang up. The fate of the world hangs in the balance. What happens next?

A to Z Challenge

Here’s the rules:
1) 100 words or 1 graphic for each letter of the alphabet.

It’s that easy.
And perk – It’s the alphabet you know what’s coming if you want to get ahead of it. There is no need for your work to all connect. There is no need for them to be in order.

Like the Numbers challenge, if you are stuck or would like a random word to use, poke me and I will provide.

Word sprints/word wars tonight

If you've read agdhani's Nano advice for today, you know that timed writing is one of the best ways to generate words. I'm a wee bit behind on my word count so I'm going to be running several timed segments starting at 6:30 and ending at 9 CST- feel free to jump in at any time.

Schedule-

Round 1: 6:30-6:50pm CST
Round 2: 6:55-7:10pm CST
Round 3: 7:15-7:34pm CST (this will be a chain word war- a series of three 5 minute timed writings with a 2 minute break between or if you feel particularly ambitious write for the whole 19 minutes)
Round 4: 7:40-8:10pm CST - word sprint (a half hour to get to a specific goal- most people try for 1000 words, but if you type faster or slower, you may want to adjust it. The point is to get your fingers moving to get out as many words as possible)
Round 5: 8:20-8:35pm CST
Round 6: 8:40-9pm CST

Gather up your prompts and happy writing!
