Drive-by Monday, again.

Hello there!

The fiscal year at work ended last Thursday, and while there was some good things in that, things are a little insane in dealing with it. Also, I'm taking Thursday and Friday off with a Monday holiday and the Big boss is out next week so... Just a cherry insane on top of that. But 5 day weekend will hopefully be worth it. And that means this is just a quick drive-by.

Big Buddy should be at about 13% of your October totals - Please discuss.

Flash Challenge: It's due when? Yesterday? 100 words or a graphic and you'll be ... 100 words or a graphic closer to your totals!

This month we're doing crossovers - please discuss.

And then, as always we've had several prompts posted this past week. Go hit the previous post buttons till you find something inspiring for you.

Happy October!!

Crossovers Challenge & Daily Count Challenge to Apachefirecat

Well, I've crashlanded into October with the fire and enthusiasm of a slug on a salt trail! I'm not sleeping, my muse is playing hide and seek, and I truly understand why some animals kill their young!

That being said, how are you guys doing with the crossovers challenge? I (my muse) got a bee in her bonnet and made me write nearly 1000 words of a crossover with no background or idea of where it's going or whether it will even be continued - but I'm not going to complain because it was nearly 1000 words that I didn't expect to be able to write with my brain having the consistency of rice pudding!

So, has your muse decided to dabble in a fandom that you are unused to? Or pushed you into combining a couple of your favourites in a way you never considered before? I challenge you to allow your muse free reign, take over your pen/keyboard and just write those weird pairings that are hiding away in your brain! A couple that come to mind for me:

* shadowhunters turn up in Beacon Hills;
* MCU meets Buffy (blame burningchaos for that one!)
* Transformers team up with the Winchesters!

Weird but potentially wonderful? Go for it!

I also wrote a 200 word drabble for drabble_weekly in the Shadowhunters fandom (which I've only written in maybe once) and made two banners. I think I might have pushed my luck as far as I'm prepared to go, although I am more than open to the idea that I might get some work done on the two WiPs glaring at me from my laptop!

Passing the gauntlet to apachefirecat and hoping your muse is being kinder to you than mine is to me!
