Weekend Challenge: Overheard conversations

Greeting troops!  This Weekend Challenge is all about Overheard conversations, a personal favorite trope of mine.  Some of the conversations are wacky, some are strange and some are downright terrifying!

Just choose a number between 1 and 35 and I will give you an awesome snippet of an overheard conversation that will hopefully inspire you.

Please be as creative as you can--drabbles/fics can be as long as you want but at least 200 words and you can do any sort of art work the spirit moves you    Just post your work by Thursday night at 11:59pm EST, and you'll be golden.  Lastly, HAVE FUN!!!

I’m not creative in any way with artwork, so if you want an icon, I’ll have to ask for help, but I can give you a drabble or add to my WIP, and if you have any questions, please ask :):)
Bo head on

fuzzy eyes...

5500 words later, I've finished that particular rewriting pass...and spent some time double checking my cast list and started sorting the foreign words/phrases that have to get added to the end.
Lots more to do on that front, including some translation (making up your own language is fun!)
but my brain is tired and my eyes are blurry so I'm passing the buck...er torch...on to shanachie_quill for Saturday!
