Icon/Drabble Challenge

Wow! I totally meant to have this up last week! School and work have really had my brain all over the place!

icondrabble2021

Every day you will see a post with 4 prompts like so: 1. a place, 2. a color, 3. an action and 4. a random word.

All you have to do is create an icon or a drabble (or more) for that day using at least one (or more) of the prompts.

There are no other rules! Any fandom/s (or none); any character/s; a one-off each day or a continuous story for several days; post it one day at a time, post 7 creations altogether once a week, or just post in one lump at the end! It's all up to you. Take the prompts and run with them; no interpretation is wrong!

So comment in this post with prompts that we can use to make icons and drabbles. Single words or phrases are both fine, but try to come up with things that can be visual prompts as well as verbal prompts!

Comments will be screened. If you have questions I will un-screen and answer them.

This challenge will run from Saturday 5 June to Thursday 15 July.

Thursday Tropes: Week 21

It's been a minute, hasn't it? Well, we're back...and maybe slightly different?

no title

This time around...A. FULL. YEAR. OF. TROPES!

Some Thursdays will have 2 tropes, some will have 3, but I think the majority will have 1 that's really popular.

Descriptions will be pulled from TV Tropes and a link provided if you want more information.

The rules? They're simple. Write at least 250 words or create 2 icons/1 banner. Anything from suggestive to outright porn is allowed.

This week, there are 2 tropes!

Back from the Dead (click the link to read more): A major character, possibly even a popularly nasty Big Bad, has been killed, pronounced dead and buried. However, the established laws of the universe allow for Functional Magic, a Sufficiently Advanced Alien, Applied Phlebotinum, Deus ex Machina or similar agency to intervene and subvert what naturally follows dying. Namely, staying dead. (In some cases, an explanation isn't even bothered with.)

Maybe the writers were running short of new ideas and decided to recycle some old characters. Maybe the actor has recently acquired some indecent photographs of the producers. Maybe the new writer was devastated his predecessor killed the character. Who knows? He is now Back From the Dead!

Make Out Point: A standard teenage hang out where all sorts of canoodling takes place in cars. Usually features a father and/or police finding young people there to "break it up" and drag people back home. Depending on the broadness of the comedy (and the innocence — or lack thereof — of the setting), Don't Come A-Knockin' may be in play.

Often involves a tourist-trap-type scenic bluff, so as to overlook the city lights at night... as if you're looking at that when you're up here. Alternately, it could be a Drive-In Theater. Also a standard set up for Death by Sex in horror movies, as the people in the car are... distracted, to say the least. Similarly, it seems being at Make-Out Point makes you immediately a Weirdness Magnet — the first people to see the falling meteor, the mutant escapee, or the alien invasion force tends to be such a couple; see Terror at Make-Out Point.

This does count as a subtrope of Making Love in All the Wrong Places, especially with more mundane interruptions such as a jilted lover, a less-romantic rival, or even a police officer that just happened by.

Often, starting in The '50s, the makeout place is a Drive-In Theater.
