Thursday Tropes: Week 8

no title

This time around...A. FULL. YEAR. OF. TROPES!

Some Thursdays will have 2 tropes, some will have 3, but I think the majority will have 1 that's really popular.

Descriptions will be pulled from TV Tropes and a link provided if you want more information.

The rules? They're simple. Write at least 250 words or create 2 icons/1 banner. Anything from suggestive to outright porn is allowed.

This week, there is 2 tropes!

Parting-from-Consciousness Words: Last Words, but before Instant Sedation rather than dying. Sometimes they possess a bit of the impact of actual Last Words because the fainting character is in bad shape and using the last strength they have to utter them or because their general situation is bad and they don't know if they will wake up again.

In a variant, the person doing the sedating may give a one-liner to the person they have sedated. A brief bit of Snark-to-Snark Combat may ensue, before the drugged party passes out.

If they don't have any meaning, it's Non Sequitur, *Thud*.

Brother-Sister Team: The convention in kids movies and TV shows to make the Kid Heroes a brother and sister. This way, both the sexes are represented and they can be very close, while any thought that they'll end up together is — at least theoretically — killed off immediately. These teams can also bicker a lot more than teams of friends usually do, like siblings in real life, and there's (usually) no need to worry that they might "break up".

A subtrope of Sibling Team. They may also be part of a Badass Family. CA sister trope to Parent-Child Team.

Daily challenge to agdhani

So today was a good day. I managed to write all three prompts I got for the weekend challenge as well as start on my Naruto fic while working on my zine and two meant to be challenges as well as two big bangs. I got in about 9k before I decided to call it a night. Hopefully I can this up for the weekend, I plan on finish the most important things I have due in the coming weeks.

Off to agdhani I hope your muses are kind to you.
