If you've never done a word war before, it's not exactly a competition, it's more a way of being accountable to getting words on a page, so the phrase "word war" is not entirely accurate. All you would need to do is show up on the initial post at the designated time and at the end of each round, leave a comment with your word count- don't be intimidated by it, we all have times where we're either clicking or slogging, but this is about the making of words or art. If you're drawing or knitting and just want to say hi and cheerlead, that's fine too. If you just want to (or are only able to) pop in for a round or two, I'd love to see you.
Thank you.
ETA- At this time, it looks like it's going to be 2-4 CST tomorrow. I'll have a post up in the morning with the schedule. If you're late in seeing this, I hope you'll be able to join us tomorrow afternoon.
Alright troops, I am in charge of this Weekend’s Challenge and I am giving you two choices: a quote about Leap Year (Feb. 29th) or quotes from M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable trilogy-WOO HOO!! And just so you know, the Unbreakable trilogy includes the movies Unbreakable, Split and Glass. *If you want a quote for both Leap Year and Unbreakable triology, I can do that too.
If you want a Leap Year quote, you can choose a number between 1 and 29 and if you want an Unbreakable trilogy quote, choose a number between 1 and 30. Please keep in mind that the quote could be just like one of the films: it might be scary, horrifying or supernatural or a combination of all three.
Please be as creative as you can--drabbles/fics can be as long as you want but at least 200 words and you can do any sort of art work the spirit moves you Just post your work by Thursday night at 11:59pm EST, and you'll be golden. Lastly, HAVE FUN!!!
I am not creative in any way with artwork, so if you want an icon, I will have to ask for help, but I can give you a drabble or add to my WIP. And if you have any questions, please ask :):)
This is the penultimate prompt post, so you know it's time to post, link or madly sprint through a few last words for the last couple of days of Rare Pairs! Any last questions?
My car is dead, can you drive me in? I know I'm on your way.
Need a short prompt or two? Give me some numbers between 1 and 150 and I'll give you some (hopefully) inspirational words. Note: some of these may be suggestive, but you don't have to use them that way, OR you may ask me for another word to replace the one/s you don't like, and I'll find you something that's more general.
The next long prompt will be in two days time, but in the meantime if you need anything else, comment here and I'll reply as soon as I can!
Friday got me 4784...and almost to the end of final edits for another book. Hoping to get those edits done tomorrow...unless I get another burst of energy this evening and tackle some more. For now...lets have a free-for-all leap day ;)
