Remora (noun)

1. any of several fishes of the family Echeneididae, having on the top of the head a sucking disk by which they can attach themselves to sharks, turtles, ships, and other moving object.
2. Archaic. an obstacle, hindrance, or obstruction.

Now YOU come up with a sentence (or fic? or graphic?) that best illustrates the word.

Hello, It's Monday....

Woo hoo! Happy Monday. Well, as happy as Monday gets, I guess. :} The work week is getting off to a peaceful start here, and for that I'm grateful. After tomorrowish it should be the usual chaos, but we'll see.

Aside from work, I am looking forward to going for a few runs in somewhat milder weather - I can definitely feel that it's August and not blazing hot July, which is great for enjoying time spent outdoors. I'm working on a knitting project for a gift, and have a couple of plot bunnies that have been creeping up on me, playing in the grass a few steps away and threatening to demand to be written. So... hopefully words.

How is your week going, and what kinds of creativity do you hope to get up to?

Here's a Flash Challenge in case you can use one:  Summer Daze.  Do with it what you will, and if you post it here I'll happily make you an icon or two.

This past week's challenges have been:

Weekend Challenge: Mob Week. I'll spare you my badly written Edward G. Robinson immitation.
