Welcome to the official start of summer. Happy Memorial Day weekend.
This week's quote remembers those who have lost their lives serving their country, who have served their country and those currently serving their country.
"To be heroic is to be courageous enough to die for something."
Do with it what you will.
Write a 100 words or create 2 icons/1 banner and receive a drabnle written in a fandom of your choice or a 100 words added to one of my wips.
Remember to thank a veteran, their families and current military personal, as well as first responders for their sacrifices.
Who knew there were so many...and probably many more.
I have a collection of 540 clinically named (?) phobias.
Pick a number between 1 and 540...or give me a letter of the alphabet (I don't think there are any Y's...but the rest of the letters are fair game)...and I'll offer you up a fear for you to torment your darlings with.
Feeling daring...I'll give you more than one if you wish. There are plenty to go around.
I'm hoping the electrical work on the house on Thursday goes as planned and I have power to get back to you on this (if I can't from the office). In the meantime, feed me back 300 words , a banner, 2 icons...whatever floats (or sinks) the boat...by next Thursday...and I'll offer icons, a banner if I can, words to my WIP, possibly a drabble if we share a fandom (I really need to make a new list...and post it SOMEWHERE!) and my undying appreciation ;)
Today is the unofficial beginning of the summer here in the US, and to me that means ROAD TRIP!Radar Love - Route 66 - King of the Road
And road trip means road trip music!!! Whether it's a family trip and it's oldies you know all the words to, or a Chick trip and the words get a little raunchy, or your on your lonesome barreling towards a fantastic destination with loud and abusive tunes, music is necessary to inspire the drive. Let it inspire your words and graphics!
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
Good times never seemed so good
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
I've breathed the mountain air
Come ride with me to the distant shore
Beach Boys ~ Beatles ~ Kenny Rogers ~ Aerosmith
