Behind the cut you will find a list of everyone participating in the Daily Count Challenge and their day. I'm 99% certain I got everyone who signed up and put them on the correct days, but if I missed up, or a day doesn't work out, comment to this entry and let me know.

Every Wednesday I will put up a reminder post for the next week. If someone forgets to post that they've done their writing for the day, the next person will know it's their turn and can post after they've done their writing.

For example, it's 06 February and I haven't made a post saying that I've done my daily writing, on 07 February, csichick_2 can post when they've done their writing to keep things moving on.

I think I've covered everything...so agdhani, you're up first for 01 February!

Weekend Word wars anyone?

Who's up for some weekend word wars? I've got a chocolate box exchange story to revise and Feb bingo always gives me lots of stuff to work on so I'm ready to knock out some serious word counts.

I'm open for suggestions of day(s) and time. I'm an early riser, which unfortunately means I'm pretty much done for by the evening, but Saturdays I can manage to stay up a little later.

For first timers, my usual gig is to host 4 rounds of 25 minutes each with a 10 minute break between rounds. Stay for one round or all four -- it's all good :)

Here's a handy link to convert my timezone U.S. Pacific time (PST) to your local time. (UTC stands for coordinated universal time)

I'm willing to start the first round:
Sat Feb 3: 6am PST (14:00 UTC) until 8pm PST (04:00 UTC Feb 4)
Sun Feb 4: 8am PST (16:00 UTC) until 5pm PST (01:00 UTC Feb 5)

Drop me a comment with what times you're available.

Word of the Day 02/01/18 Denouement

Denouement (noun)
denouement or dénouement [dey-noo-mahn]

1. the final resolution of the intricacies of a plot, as of a drama or novel.
2. the place in the plot at which this occurs.
3. the outcome or resolution of a doubtful series of occurrences.

See more synonyms on Thesaurus.com
3. solution, conclusion, end, upshot.

Origin: 1745-55; < French: literally, an untying, equivalent to dénouer to untie, Old French desnoer (des- de- + noer to knot < Latin nōdāre, derivative of nōdus knot) + -ment -ment

Now YOU come up with a sentence (or fic? or graphic?) that best illustrates the word.

Numbers Challenge

The rules are:

1. Each post is either a hundred words or more/ or you can make a graphic/art

2. However the number influences you, go with the flow! I don’t care how you use or abuse the number! (I’ll give some suggestions/ideas/other languages to help you along if you get stuck!)

3. Post anywhere – tumblr, amazon.com, your journal, AO3, the dreaded ff.net, your bedroom wall, etc.

4. There is NO time limit.

And the number shall be ...77!

Go forth and create!

Daily Count Challenge: to EVERYONE!

Hey everyone, it's the 1st Feb where I am and I was VERY slack after erinm_4600 passed things on to me on the 29th, so I did not get any words until this morniing when I managed 767! WOOT! Anyhew, since it's still the 31st to many of you, I am charging all of you who are able to get words done in the remainder of your 31st to do so! Don't worry if they are not postable words and you won't get any additional added to January's count, just add words to something you're working on! Go, go, go!

And simplyn2deep, if you are reading this - sorry neither K nor I answered your email questions about the DCC yet, but please go ahead and set up some dates for February from this post. You can remind weekly if you want, but just doing one monthly post is fine, and whomever runs the Monday 'awesome post' can remind us all to check the schedule too. THANKS! (sorry this is here and not in an email, but I have to go out and wanted to make sure the next month's schedule is up asap!)

And if anyone else wants in on the daily count challenge, please use the link above and jump in quickly before Liz sets up the schedule! ;-)

Word Wars schedule for this weekend

Okay I think I've got times that will allow everyone a chance for at least a round or two:

Saturday Feb 3 - Starting at 6am Pacific
Sunday Feb 4 - Starting at 11am Pacific (the superbowl starts at 3:30 pm Pacific so we'll be done well before game time in case anyone was wondering)'

Handy time converter site is here.

Hope to see you there :)
