NaNo and mini Nano Checkin Day 6

T.G.I.F. !!!

Okay NaNo and mini NaNo's today's the 10K milestone for those hoping to reach 50K by the end of November. It's also time to checkin on the 20% Big Buddy checkin.

We've got 2 separate writing sprints/word wars for Sat/Sunday (depending on your timezone).

For those that write with music - does your project have a playlist shaping up? I'm behind in updating links to the ones I've been using - so far they've been ones I've had around for awhile but I'm hopeful to work on a few new ones this weekend.

May the words be with you! :D

Article: Writing Advice is...

Well, bullsh*t, according to Chuck Wendig.  I don't know about the rest of you, but I really, really struggle with trying to improve.  By nature, I'm a researcher.  So, when I come across a problem I'm having or know there's something I need to improve on, I Google.  The problem with that is, you wind up with so much conflicting information that you don't know what is what.  Or, you find something that sounds so clever, so astute, so on the money that you can't figure out why you never thought of it before.  Then you try and implement it and it all goes to hell in a handbasket.

Sadly, this only makes me doubt myself more, instead of helping me.  Someone shared this link with me today and I think it's a good read.  Funny and inspiring at the same time.  Having read this, I'm feeling 110% better about delving into something I a) haven't ever written before and b) am going to present to someone as a gift sooo... maybe it'll help you, too?  If nothing else, I think you'll get a good laugh out of it.

Weekend Challenge - Gratitude

Hello one and all. You are looking especially lovely today!

I am your host for this Weekend Challenge. I've been feeling a little out of sorts lately so I thought I'd use this challenge to remind myself, as well as anyone else who may need it, that gratitude can magnify our blessings.

I have a list of 49 quotes which are about Gratitude and Thanksgiving. If you would like to prompted from this list, simply list the number(s) of the quotes - 1 to 49 - you would like and I will provide them.

Go forth and create!! And be grateful for the opportunity. That's what I have to remember!

Have a great, productive weekend!
