What'cha mean it's already Monday?

So, yeah. *sigh*

I got no words over the weekend, but I did manage to get a little ahead on my knitting. I'm half a hat and a pair of mittens beyond schedule, so that is nice. But I haven't even plotted an outline for my SOJ. Yeah, not feeling exceptionally proud of that.

And there's snow on the ground. Not much here, although I know it's bad in some places, and I do need it to sell some snowplows, but...

Okay, so big plans for this week? I have managed to secure a sequestered day all for myself on Friday to do nothing but SoJ. I'm very excited. No family, no knitting, just ALL THE WORDS!

How are you all doing on your SoJ? On NaNoWriMo? On the myriad of other things you've promised yourself you'd get done?

This is going to be our week!

I posted fic this weekend. Finally. So, yay? On the downside, I still have a large number of fandom weekend ficlets that need to be edited into something fit for human consumption before I can do anything with them.

But words. So, again, yay?

Also, it is raining. Again. So the flood warnings will be back for the winter. I would rather have snow /0\

*hugs* But YAY for posting!!!

Yeah, let's focus on the positives. I may have already updated my wordcount for the month :D

Flooding sucks! Stay safe (and warm)!
Nov. 22nd, 2016 06:25 pm (UTC)
Safe I have achieved. Warm has been...more challenging (because horizontal rain renders one's umbrella largely useless!). Currently snuggled under blankets with hot coffee though, so am inclined to say all is good :D

Ugh, I don't have much experience with horizontal rain (or any rain, really, because I live in the desert), but I can only imagine that is not very much fun. Yay! I call that a good day!

Fall finally showed up in Southeast Texas and brrrr....

I'm off tomorrow and Friday, so hopefully words will be created.

YOU HAVE FRIDAY OFF!!! I am so excited for you!!!!
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:33 pm (UTC)
It found us here, too. :/

Hooray! So, I can put off my trip to bail you out until the day after Christmas then. :D
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:43 pm (UTC)
Hold onto the bail money. There are still a few weeks left before it's all said and done.
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:48 pm (UTC)
I have been where you are and I do not envy you one bit! STAY STRONG!

With the office technically closed all week (though I'm here Monday and Tuesday as we're expecting some deliveries and a cabinet/sink installer so we can have a functioning kitchen, lol) I'm hoping for a good week's worth of words. I have some RP stuff to write first today before I can tackle NaNo...but its all words, right?
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:34 pm (UTC)
I work for three brothers and the one who runs the office is on the other side of the world right now, so I'm almost in a similar situation. :D Hope you get all the words this week!
Nov. 21st, 2016 07:05 pm (UTC)
well...i did some rp writing today...and started a NaNo chapter...then the boss came...and the accountant...and the treasurer...*sigh*
Nov. 21st, 2016 07:14 pm (UTC)
At least you got something done before everyone and their brother arrived, so that's a plus!

I had a really pretty awesome weekend, with family in town visiting. We enjoyed the last warm, sunny fall day Saturday - and then ran around town yesterday, too, despite the cold and wind.

Writing didn't happen Sunday. I'd hoped to carve out some time and finish a weekend challenge fic I started before they got here, but....nope. And now I have catching up to do for holiday fic gifts - that's the plan for this week, for sure. It has to happen- so it will.
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:34 pm (UTC)
Always nice to have a good visit with your family. :) And now you can focus on all those things you put off. Good luck with it all!

Don't feel bad, I didn't get any words this weekend either. We had a situation with my cat and after having to force-feed an 18 lb Maine Coon antibiotics twice a day since Saturday, I've kind of lost all motivation to do anything. He'll be fine, thankfully, although the brat might have to have all his teeth pulled. Hold a happy thought that he won't have to, though.

Congrats on getting ahead with your knitting and finding a ME DAY! My SOJ is finished, I just need to post for a beta reader though and I keep forgetting.

It's a short week and I have two days off so ALL THE WORDS! Or rather, it might be more of a Dean kind of weekend with ALL THE PIE! :D
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:40 pm (UTC)

Happy teeth thoughts to the kitty.

Nov. 21st, 2016 05:44 pm (UTC)
Pie and words!

Thanks - he's back to being a thorn in my side, so he's obviously feeling better. :D

Nov. 21st, 2016 05:46 pm (UTC)
Oooo.... all the pie. I could happily get behind that.
Nov. 21st, 2016 05:50 pm (UTC)
I know, right? Hand 'em ALL OVER NOW and no one gets hurt. :D
Nov. 21st, 2016 06:31 pm (UTC)
I know I'm damn thrilled to have a four day Thanksgiving Weekend to get my two Christmas themed fics all finished up :):)
Nov. 21st, 2016 06:38 pm (UTC)
Nov. 22nd, 2016 10:11 pm (UTC)
I don't have Thanksgiving breaks to look forward to, BUT summer may just be making an appearance - TWO sunny days in a row, woohoo!

It's been a crazy week so far as we had a flood in the office first thing Monday so we are all posted all over the city as there was no way we could stay in the building (someone come and push it down while we're gone, please?), which is decrepit and needs replacing STAT but it won't happen, so we're all elsewhere until Friday... bleh. It's thrown me for a loop and I'm already behind on far too much.

And writing has been hopeless lately so I need to get onto the SoJ words, also on finishing Christmas cards and writing a newsletter to go with them, because the final posting day for Christmas mail overseas is the 2nd Dec... OMG, where does all the time go?
Nov. 23rd, 2016 09:36 pm (UTC)
*fingers crossed* for more sunny and someone to decide that the building is too far gone.

You can do the words! YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORDS!@
