Author's Note: So I always like to write a slash, het, and a "other" couple stories for my darling husband as part of my Valentine's Day presents to him. My Great Aunt passed on the Thursday before Valentine's, so I didn't exactly feel like writing fluffy stories during that time. I'd already written one for him, and I managed to do a slash which, coincidentally enough, was also Charmed, but I just couldn't seem to get a het done for anything. I'd given up on it actually and even apologized for not writing more for him. Then 1MW comes along with some wonderful bingo prompts and the extension gives me time to get a second look at them. I finally got my other Valentine's Day story for my soul mate this year!! Thank you, 1MW!!

Piper stirs her soup, her own brown eyes glazing over through the misty aromas rising from the food she's cooking. She's in a really great mood today, and it always comes out in her cooking. Oddly enough, she also cooks wonderfully when she's upset, but that's not today. She's been smiling all day today, and it's the first Valentine's Day in a while she's felt like smiling at all.

She knows exactly who's responsible, too, for her wonderful mood. There's only one man for her and only one man who touches her soul the way he does. She's making all his favorites today, and she sincerely hope he likes them. She actually knows he will, but there's always that little, niggling doubt in the back of her mind that she might miss an ingredient or add too much of another and what she intends to be a feast for her love will turn out to be a disappointment for them both. She grins, remembering Prue telling her she shouldn't worry too much. Her food, her older sister had claimed, always comes out great. Piper wishes it was so, but still, she's confident that her Cole will enjoy his meal.

Grams always said the way to a man's stomach was through his heart. Piper knows there's a certain truth to that old saying, but she already has Cole's heart. She doesn't need comfort food or the most succulent chocolate pie she's making to win his heart. It's already hers, and for the first time in her life, she doesn't have to fear that something will take him away. No woman is going to take Cole away from her no more than any guy is going to steal her from him. She's finally got her soul mate, and oddly enough, her little sister's happy with Piper's own ex. Everything's going wonderfully.

Perhaps too wonderfully, she reflects suddenly, her brow starting to furrow with her worries. There hasn't been a Demon attack all day, and that's highly unusual in their lives. Most days, they're vanquishing Evil long before breakfast, and yet, here she is making supper, all of her boyfriend's favorites, and there hasn't been one appearance all day. They're being too lucky, she realizes and tenses when she feels a slight change in the air.

Most people would never notice the subtle shift, but Piper feels it immediately. She grabs a skillet of hot oil with one hand and raises her other, but then she's dropping both and smiling again for it's only Cole, his arms loaded with flowers for her. "Hey, honey," he greets her, grinning widely. "I'd ask what's for dinner, but you always make a feast."

She almost blushes, her eyes dropping shyly from his. His compliments still have that effect on her. He snaps his fingers, and her favorite song starts to play. Piper reaches over and lifts a piece of fried okra to his lips. His lips close around the bite and her fingers and linger there for a long, delicious moment before sliding slowly off of her flesh. She tingles from head to foot, sighs joyously, and closes her eyes in ecstasy.

Her eyes open again when she hears running water. Cole's putting her flowers into vases for her. She bends to check the fresh bread baking in the oven, then leans back into his waiting arms when she stands erect once again. She closes her eyes, beaming and glowing happily. He sways with her to her song and kisses the top of her head. "Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart," he murmurs against her soft, dark hair.

"It is," she whispers in response, "definitely the best one ever. You know, we haven't even had to fight any Demons today?"

"No?" he asks in surprise Piper doesn't realize is feigned. "Hmm. Well, don't say that too loudly. We don't want to break the streak."

She laughs; his grin grows. She doesn't need to know he's been vanquishing Demons left and right all day today. She doesn't need to know he saved the world by himself earlier or that he's been busily keeping Demons away from her and her sisters today. They all deserve a good holiday, but no one better than his Piper. He and the White Lighter even teamed up once today to save Phoebe from an attack she never saw, but he didn't do it for Phoebe. He never does anything for her, or even for Prue. He does all he does for his Piper. He hugs her as they sway together. "Have I told you today how much I love you?"

"Yes," she replies, and he glows at the sound of joy in her voice, "but I never tire of hearing it."

"I love you," he whispers again into her hair. Then he drops down beside her ear and repeats, "I love you." He twirls her around in the kitchen and tells her once more, "I love you!", before taking her lips with his and showing her sweetly and passionately again and again.

The End
