Help me, 1_million_words! You're my only hope!

I'm running out of words for the Word of the Day posts I do. Or at least it feel like I'm running out of words.

I've posted, with the ocassional help of others, 1024 words (as of 31 October 2015)!

I have a list to make sure none of them are duplicated. I have words set to queue up until November 14, then I start the word search all over again.

Actually, I start the word search over now.

WITH YOUR HELP!

I want you to leave some comments here with words. Please try to keep it to English. I'm going to screen the comments so that the words remain a secret until I use them (if I can). Also, feel free to leave me a comment with where I can find some interesting words. Currently, I use Dictionary.com or friends will PM me words they've come across.

Thank you all in advance!

OMG, you totally ROCK, Liz. You are awesome and we love your words! You have done fantastically!

I don't have any suggestions at this point, but I am happy to help in any way I can; if you want to go into slang or jargon type stuff from particular countries, I can help out with Kiwi/Aussie words, but if that's not where you're at, that's all good too. Hopefully you will get some good resources offered here!

THANK YOU, again, for all you do for our comm! *hugs*

Hey there! As H said, you are very very awesome! I cannot express how grateful we are that you do this every day! You are so amazing.

It's my opinion, and not at all gospel, that after 1,000 words you are allowed repeats. Especially where it object is to coax words out of people rather than educate. BUT that is entirely your call. If you don't want to repeat then no repeats.

If you want to take a look at my pinterest writing board, there are lists of words. Consider doing theme months (like we did with colors), emotions, physical touch, action, etc. https://www.pinterest.com/eggsha9/writing/

YOU ARE SO WONDERFUL!!! Please don't ever think that we take you for granted!

Thank you!

I never thought to look at Pinterest so I'll check that out tonight when I get home.

I might do some repeats of some of the more popular words but I'd like to avoid doing that.

I was going to suggest Dictionary.com's word of the day. Oops. :/

I like the idea too of doing themes. It might make it easier to help you come up with some ideas.

Hmmm... I'm not any help am I? But thank you for handling this because it's one of my favorite features of this comm!

Hey! Feel free to use this or discard it - I found a site with the most commonly used words in English. Maybe pick a month or three this year for 'Everyday Word' prompts and see what they evoke for people?

http://www.talkenglish.com/vocabulary/top-2000-vocabulary.aspx

I'll look around some more, too!

One thing I like is a website called wordnik. I don't know if it'll help, but I hope so.
