"Canned beets, applesauce, two raw potatoes, chocolate sauce, and half a jar of sauerkraut," Daryl said. He finished rooting through the bag, scrubbed a hand over his beard. He wanted to make Beth happy, but… "Ain't exactly traditional."

"We can roast the potatoes over the fire and use the other things for sides," Beth said with a grin. "It sounds perfect to me, Daryl."

Daryl shrugged, hefted the bag. "It's your picnic."

"Yours too," Beth said. "It's up to you to figure out what to do with the chocolate sauce."

This whole picnic idea suddenly sounded a whole lot better.

Enjolras bagged his head against the wall of the prison cell. “I really don’t see how this is my fault,” Courfeyrac stated from where he was sat the opposite side of the cell.
“It’s clearly your fault!” Combeferre shouted from the cell across from them. And it is definitely Courfeyrac’s fault they were all locked up in the bowels of the castle.
“You know magic is forbidden and what do you do? Set fire to a table. You set fire to a table with your hands, no sign of a lighter! Clearly witchcraft!” Combeferre shouted, Courfeyrac just chuckled.
“Oh come on it was fun,” Courfeyrac argued.
“If we die, it is all your fault,” Enjolras hissed, kicking the fool in question.

"For real?" Frank stares at the book in Jenny's hands. "Your ancestors were witches?" Jenny nods but doesn't look up. "Hmmm... I can buy that."

Then she turns, eyebrow raised. "I swear, if you say it's because of my witchy temperament..." There's a edge to her voice but a glint of amusement in her eyes. 

"Because..." Frank draws out the word, steps closer and takes her in his arms. "I've been under your spell since we first met."

Jenny rolls her eyes but the smile she gives him is nothing short of magic. 

The kiss that follows is even better.

Ian's not one for whispering sweet nothings in her ear; Reggie's known that since they were in high school and nothing has changed. 

Not for him bunches of flowers for no reason, impromptu presents just because he saw something and thought of her.

But her smile is the one Ian sings about on his latest hit; when he sings about eyes haunting his dreams, they're hers too. She gets to hear each song first and when he sings, he never takes his eyes off her. 

He sings about her in every song he writes and that's not nothing.

Oh husband of mine. Do you whisper sweet nothings to her after you've fucked her? Do you say the pretty words you used to say to me before you realised I'd ruined your life?

I sit and watch him. He still has no fucking idea I know that he's screwing that little bitch. He has no idea what's coming to him, That's the way I like it. He has no idea that right now I'm almost ready. Ready to die. Ready to really fuck Nick in a way he'd never see coming.

He picked the wrong woman to cheat on.

Telling Sherlock how he felt about him should be easy. It was such a simple thing really all black and white, cut and dried. But of course his life wasn't that easy or simple but instead various shades of gray.

Although, Sherlock, would of course tell him he was an open book. A bit of laughter struggled through his clenched jaw. If that was true then why didn’t Sherlock know how he felt?

John jumped to his feet as Sherlock walked in. “Sherlock, I have something to tell you...”

Sherlock looked John in the eyes as he whispered, “I know.”

Phil likes to hold her at night, tight and close. His big strong arms wrapped around her waist. His head resting close to her shoulder. His embrace is warm and comforting. Some nights he is quiet. Melinda lets the sound of his breathing and heartbeat, his warm breath tickling her ear drift her off to sleep. Other nights Phil whispers in her ear. He tells her she’s beautiful and how much he loves her in soft poetic phrases. Words that in even the days she doubts herself often lift her spirits.

Melinda is different. Of the two she is quieter. She gazes at him as soon as Phil drifts to slumber. His face emotionless, he looks peaceful, a stark contrast during the day protecting his team and saving HYDRA. On nights she can’t sleep she runs her hands through his hair, thinner from time but still soft to the touch. Her hand moves to explore his body, she knows so well, admiring the small sounds Phil makes when she traces patterns on areas he loves, until finally slumber claims her.

These are simple gestures of love. But to Melinda and Phil, where simple is out of the ordinary….

It’s perfect.

Daryl slipped quietly past their guard wire and walked around the perimeter. The heavy dew made it easy to make sure their camp was still secure or not. Deeming it secure, he set off in search of something to hunt. The heavy dew that made it easy for him to make sure no one was snooping around their makeshift camp also made it easy for him to track. Making his way through what he was sure were animal trails he hoped for rabbit or squirrel but smiled when he saw the cloven hoof print. They'd be having deer for breakfast.
