I'm behind the eight ball again, trying to catch up with all the happy that happened here over the weekend, and it was A LOT OF HAPPY, and trying to deal with the 14+ inches of more snow we're getting today (not a lot of happy).

The plus side, someone else is driving me home (I love my car, but the roads after a week of snowing are beyond it). The other plus side, we have 31 days under our new count belt, and it's time to buckle it down!

So what are your big plans to get your counts going this month? This week? This evening? This Bingo?

Are you happy with January? And if you aren't, was it a learning experience? If you aren't are you making arrangements to make February very happy? Are you happy about the Patriots winning? ;)

*fingers crossed for a productive week*

OMG, that is a LOT OF SNOW. Stay warm and stay safe.

I surprised myself in January. To hit my goal for the year, I need to post about 20.5k a month, and I nearly hit that mark. Wow. So yeah, I'll let January live. :)

I didn't even watch the game, honestly. It was on, but I was reading/writing and not paying attention.

I hope that eight ball doesn't hold you hostage for too long.

The heating bill this month is going to be ugly. UGLY. But we're getting through.

I didn't watch the game either, but my Dad texted me at 1045 to make sure I knew that the Pats won. ;)

I wasn't going to reply until I saw the Patroits bit.
As a Colts fan I guess you can work out my answer! So close to the Superbowl and then the whole Deflategate thing then they won, hmph! Stayed up until 4am as well to watch the match

Anyway Happy February Everyone!

There were a lot of great teams this year.

HTGAWM stalled because a Vampire Diaries idea won't leave me alone. But hey, at least it is words.

Who are these Patriots?

My Jan was terrible for words, I must admit, but summer and racing around and prepping kids for school and things to sort for the comm just haven't helped (and we won't talk about the laziness). I needed to get 8333 words a month if I'm to get 100K this year, and I'm only on 3131 so I need to make 8806 words a month now! Grrr. But it is still doable so I intend to get on those WIPs and also maybe hit Bingo. Maybe.

Hope that snow lets up soon, babe! *smooches*

Surprisingly, I managed the monthly requirement for my overall goal or the year - despite having been too down to write during the beginning half of the month. So that is definitely a good start. I'm happy about it. :D

That is absolutely worth being happy about! YAY YOU!

January sucked the sweat from a dead man's balls....

Hopefully, February will be better.

Feb will be better!

So what are your big plans to get your counts going this month? This week? This evening? This Bingo?

I just signed up for 4 mini bingo cards, plus I have the last 8 or 9 days of the 30 day fic challenge from tumblr to do.

Are you happy with January? And if you aren't, was it a learning experience? If you aren't are you making arrangements to make February very happy?

Writing wise? yes, I'm happy. I wrote nearly 3 times my monthly goal. I'm pretty sure I can do that again this month.

Are you happy about the Patriots winning?

Yes! Very much so!

Superbowl...Pittsburgh wasn't playing so I didn't pay attention, lol

January...I didn't get much done on my WIP, but I did a LOT of prompts writing, so that's fine. I was still flexing the writing muscle. Maybe I'm storing the wIP up for April NaNo...lol.

February...Bingo...finish up the Thursday trope prompts I have left to do (5 remaining...ideas for 4 of them...no idea for the 5th). Thinking I need to go back and read/edit some of the WIP to get those juices flowing again.
Tonight is class...so no more writing today...this week...finish the tropes if I can...

You are so freaking on a roll with the Tropes! CONGRATS!

I'm glad January is over. I didn't write as much as I wanted.

Will be working on my Trope Bingo card and my wips. I am determined to get some of those off my plate so I can do new things.

I joined a fitness thing for the month. I pledged to walk a little more everyday, and I take my pledges very seriously. So hopefully I will have more energy, have a few pounds shed, and a few stories out of my to do bin. :)

Also trying something new, if only I can get rid of humming whine in the background.

That is very wonderful! I do know how seriously you take your pledges, I'm very excited for you!

It all sounds like such a wonderful plan!

So ready for winter to be over. Slipped on the sidewalk in the middle of shoveling so I did NOT start the day out well. Then almost twice cleaning off the car and smeared peanut butter on the corner of my laptop. And that was all before 8am. -_-

HA! I love that you are loving doing so much!!!! And to more than double your expectations for the month is AWESOME!

*fingers crossed* for all your challenges and continued wordage!

It's been actual decades since I've watched a football game, but I did catch the last few minutes just so I could say I did. I'm very happy for Pats fans! Seems it was one of the more exciting Super Bowls ever, and I'm all for memorable games. Now- three weeks until spring training!!! :). That's the only good thing about February, lol.....

I'm very happy with January. I'd be happier if I'd finished up the last two fics I owe, but.... gah. I didn't. I will. Got a lot done, though, and a ton of words toward my goal, so yay.

Have lots of plans for the month - including the bingo. I have really liked the bingos here and look forward to having fun with that!

You had a very awesome January, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for an enjoyable bingo for you!

I'm jealous of your snow! We haven't had more than a dusting this year:\

I'm shocked with my January word count (in the best way possible) and determined to do just as well if not better in February. In order to make that happen I posted a WIP last week which I plan on updating regularly, I signed up for hurt/comfort bingo's February amnesty challenge and I'm eyeballing a card or two from the bingo challenge haldoor posted this morning. That's probably a little overambitious but I'd be happy if I accomplished two out of three of those.

Snow is good for selling plows, and as we do that at work, I do have to accept it, but I'd love it to finally get warm enough to melt!

YAY for January and February plans. I can't wait for you to crush them!!!
Feb. 3rd, 2015 06:22 am (UTC)
I have mixed feelings on January. I ended up with 22,000 words, which is more than any January ever before, but almost all of them were the first 2 weeks. I was writing every day and all was good, and then I missed a day, and missed another, and then it felt like a huge struggle. So whereas I'm proud of what I did do, I feel like I could have done so much more.

I need to get back into a routine for February. No more excuses. Just writing. Plus I have a lot of fics due, and I don't want to fail on them!

I saw a thing on pinterest the other day: It's easier to wake up early and work out than it is to look in the mirror each day and not like what you see. (Jayne Cox) And I think it applies to anything that you do for yourself. The more you don't do something the more you get ticked with yourself. And the more insurmountable it seems to go back and start over. Then it becomes hard to think about doing the thing and not come away feeling all fail.

But remember the feeling you had of 'I did it', and I'm sure you'll get back to it! Just climb back on the wagon at the next stop! YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU ARE AWESOME!
