For this weekend's challenge, I have a list of 50 lines from holiday or winter songs. I tried to pick lines that were recognizable but not actually holiday specific (i.e. "Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse"). There are no lines/songs that are religious, either, so everything should be pretty safe. One or two mention Christmas, but if you get those, feel free to ignore that part!

Anyway, comment below with how many lines you'd like and I will randomize my list and give you the ones that come out on top.

If you write at least 100 words or make at least 2 icons and link them back here before 10p Central Time on Monday, I will reward you with either a short fic or icons (or sigtags if you would rather have those for any of your comms). And I totally still owe people rewards from my last weekends. I totally did not forget ....

Good luck!

Wow, you're fast! And that was adorable, too!

What would you like as a reward? Here is a list of fandoms I can write in, but I can do icons for anything. They might not be the best icons in the world, but I think I'd call them decent xD
Dec. 21st, 2014 12:58 am (UTC)
Thanks! Sometimes I write fairly quickly and then other times it feels like a battle for every sentence, lol. I can use a new Dean/Cas icon or two if you have time - either an individual shot of one or the other, or both of them if a web search turns up someting that works. Not picky - anything will be awesome. :)

"Night Before Christmas" Supernatural, Anna/Ruby NC-17
For: "Time for toys and time for cheer. We've been good, but we can't last"

Anna let Ruby push her thighs apart and let out a loud needy moan as the demon touched the small vibrator to her clit.

The motel room was one that charged by the hour and had a full parking lot, which Anna had found profoundly sad on Christmas Eve.

Ruby bit and sucked on the pale skin of Anna's thigh, holding the vibrator in place while two fingers of her other hand teased at the angel's entrance.

After their fun they didn't cuddle or speak. Ruby dressed quick and went on her way into the cold night.

Anna dressed too. As good as the sex was, this couldn't last. But she would take what she could get while it did.

"All is Calm" Doctor Who
For "All is calm, all is bright"

He stood on the edge, looking down on the Earth below. From his viewpoint, a little closer to the human world than the moon, it appeared peaceful. All was calm, all was bright, in the warmth of the sun. The TARDIS hummed and whirred and clicked. He stood with his hands in his pockets and contemplated the illusion of peace. A closer look would reveal nature in action, and nature is anything but peaceful. Nature is harsh and brutal.

Anyone looking at the Doctor in that moment might have mistaken him for a man at peace too.

Then there was a flicker, a flash of white and a stretched twisting disturbance of space. When the light vanished there was a ship. Or what looked like a ship at least. It was white, metallic, a large tear-drop shaped craft.

What it really was was death. A weapon. It had been launched centuries ago, from a world and time he had just visited that had decided Earth was a potential threat and sent this bringer of destruction to remove that threat. Now here it was, it had arrived exactly on time.

If the Doctor didn't act then in around three minutes the weapon would eradicate all life on the planet, removing the building blocks that would one day become humanity.

"Is that it then?" Clara stepped upside him, pulling the other door open.

"That's it," the Doctor confirmed.

Clara looked at him, waiting. He remained just standing, watching the weapon glide towards Earth. "Are we going to do something now?"

"Yes." But he remained still, watching.

"That alien said it would purge the planet, shouldn't we be destroying it or something?"

"Well, chop chop," Clara said anxiously. "I know you like to cut things a fine sometimes but we should probably get a move on."

The Doctor did nothing.

The weapon exploded, a brilliant burst of flame, sparkling pieces flew out in all directions. Clara raised her hand to shield her eyes from the light of it. She looked at the Doctor, astonished.

"What just happened?"

"I destroyed it," the Doctor said.

"How? With your mind? Have you been able to do that all along and just pretended you can't?"

"Of course not," he waved away the suggestion and finally took his eyes off the planet. "I accidentally did that," he gestured at the where the weapon had been, "six regenerations ago. I never knew where it came from. I'm glad it wasn't somewhere nice." He turned away and took quick strides back to the console, "right now we've solved that mystery shall we find something else to do? We probably shouldn't stay around too long with a past me so close by."

Clara took a last look at the majesty of Earth then closed the doors.

Earth carried on as normal, turning on through the silent night.
