Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been mostly absent these last few months. I'm going back to my old job on Monday and I'm hoping that will chase away the writing blahs. I'll be hosting the NaNoWriMo activities again in Nov (pep talks, checkins and of course lots of Word Wars) but who is up for a little pre-NaNo fun this weekend? This is not in place of the weekend challenge. I had so many plans for this year, most of which have slipped by, but there is still one weekend before NaNoWriMo officially starts, so I'm planning on being online and available for stuff this weekend.

If you're up for Word Wars, brainstorming/pre-planning sessions, making lists of character/place namesm bashing out a WIP, or whatever pre-Nov. activities you might think is helpful, drop a comment with times your available this Saturday and/or Sunday (please include timezones) and what activity you are interested in, and I'll try to work something out.

As always, all are invited, whether you are planning to NaNo, mini-NaNo or just want to spend 90 minutes or so focused on a creative activity.

Hope to see you there!

Activities scheduled (will keep updating as folks comment):
Sat 10/28:
8am - 10:15 am Pacific (15:00 - 17:15 UTC) WORD WARS

Sunday 10/29:
5pm - 6pm Pacific (00:00 - 01:00 UTC) Brainstorming

I'm always up for word wars! Saturday mornings at the usual time are generally best, but I'll try to join in whenever you manage.

Love the icon, by the way. :D

at the moment, I'll be around from whenever I wake up both days (Pacific Standard time) til whenever I sleep...minus meals and a trip to the Post Office (and maybe store...don't know about that yet. I'm going to be finishing up one shortish WIP (if I can't get it finished before then) and then spend the weekend in various prep modes...going over the first part of this story (written as a previous NaNo) looking over all my world notes, going over characters, fleshing out/going over the rough, vague outline I previously generated for the second part to get a feel of the flow and get back in the headspace for this tale.
I can be around and lurking in everyone elses plans...not sure how that works on LJ really ;) There's also a chatroom service called Chatzy that I've used in the past with a FB writing group that might be helpful for folks if we wanted to use it.
Now I need to wake up and get ready for work. This was supposed to be a quiet, easy week...but it hasn't been that way thus far ;)

I know what you mean about supposed to be quiet....

I remember Chatzy ... been a few years since I’ve used it ...

Hopefully will have some times firmed depending on the replies

I'm in! Might be fun to do some word wars mixed with some 'thinking out' of ideas - good idea. :)

Your Saturday AM and Sunday PM times work for me. Saturday night I'm actually getting out to see a show (something I never do that anymore, so kind of excited) and Sunday AM I *might* have a road race, though I may skip it if it's raining.

How about the brainstorming thing for Sunday night?
