Awesome Monday

Hello all!

The sun is shining once again on a water logged Southeast Texas. We are picking up the pieces and moving on.

We had another successful August Rush. Yay, us!!!

kaige68 will give us a count for August in the next few days. I'm certain we kicked butt.

Tell us all how awesome you plan to be this week.

I might get some of my wips tidied up and posted.

Hooray for things drying out finally! I wish you and all of the south a speedy recovery - or as speedy as it can get considering.

August Rush was awesome and I know it helped kick up our totals!

I am off today - WOOHOO - and am cleaning while everyone else sleeps. Why? I don't know. But... it's getting done, so that's something. I have a couple weekend challenges I need to work on and a book I have to fight with. Promised myself I'd give it 25% before I tossed it. Hah.

Good luck with the WIPS! Am hoping to get some writing done today, too.

Folks are starting to get into their places and see how much they lost. In some cases, it's everything, so recovery is going to take awhile.

Just toss the book.

Enjoy your day off and looking forward to a story. No pressure...lol

Yeah, I can't even begin to imagine what it's like down that way.

Hah - I'm tempted. :D

Thanks! *snort* One of my prompts from this past weekend is AU career: bartender and that has my imagination going wild. :D

I bet you do! (And ideas are always welcome). I did laugh when I saw the September Twist challenge pop up. I think I know what I'm using for this challenge. :D

...and now I'm singing Lady Antebellum's "Hey Bartender" so yeah.

You had Jay as a bartender in one story, so I think it should be Andy's turn. That would be a hell of a twist. ;)

It's funny because that's exactly where I went with it! Only about 200 words into it at the moment, but it should be fun. Trish and Hil should be bouncers. *snort*

GMTA.

The girls would make excellent bouncers.

Maybe you could make it a strip club with Zayne as the star attraction.

I think so. No one would mess with those two.

HAHAHAHA... Officer Friendly Revisited! :D I'd have to fix what I've written, but that's definitely doable (in oh so many ways).

As I'm past the half way mark of my last audio edit, I'm hoping to finish that this week. Gonna be busy at work I suspect so...need to do what I can at home (can't really run the text to speech editor when I'm supposed to be answering phones ;) )

Good luck.

So annoying when work interferes with our plans.

I know! How dare RL interfere with creativity.

Am working the holiday, but it's pretty darn quiet here so am hoping to get in some words. :)

On other fronts, I'm aiming to change out the summer clothes in the closet for the fall clothes - move everything around, and get rid of things I'll never wear again. I only recently learned that there are both clothing recycling bins and food scrap/composting bins at all of our green markets. Makes it easy to get rid of old clothes without feeling bad about them ending up in a landfill - they either resell the stuff, get it to charity bins, or see that it's cut up for cleaning fabric scraps! So that's my home project this week.

OMG! What aren't I doing this week could be more the question.

Good luck to you and all of those hard hit in Texas. I know it's devastating for all concerned, and hopefully clean-up won't be too horrific. Somehow though, I know it'll be a long, slow, and difficult process.

So, I have done the monthly count and kicked off the daily challenge, so that is 2 things ticked off. Just gotta get September's challenge underway (thanks for your email, and for Dreamy's too - just waiting for another few hours in case anyone else wants to weigh in), and the comm will be under control (I hope!!!).

I need to work on August Rush banners (YAY to everyone there; what an awesome result!), and then I have stuff to tidy up and sort at home so I can start designing this year's Christmas cards... yeah, I know, seems early, but I need all of Oct and half of November to make them, and I can't have them not happen - I've been doing them since 1996, so this better not be the year I fail! ;-)
